I felt so hopeless watching our Cowboys lose to the 49ers again I had to resort to desperate measures.
I took a trip to Isreal and visited the Wailing Wall with the intent of submitting a special prayer for our beloved Cowboys.
Please Lord let the Dallas Cowboys win one more Super Bowl before I die. I wrote this on a piece of paper and tightly rolled it up and shoved it in a large Crack in the wall.
I left the Wall feeling good about our future.
Go Cowboys!
If you are under the age of 50 then you have a shot.
Seriously, you and I are in the same boat. In fact, I consider it a race between me and Jerry Jones as to who exits first. I hope he wins. I figure that a different GM is the only shot we have.
Gosh guys, I'm in the same boat.
Although I'm only 69 but been a fan of this team 57 years. I can see the very real possibility of never seeing my beloved Cowboys winning a SB again. Maybe I should talk to the Lord about it. The Good Book says he'll give you your heart's desires.
I have no reason to be optimistic although I'll continue being a Cowboy. It's hard though when you've seen excellence as a Cowboy fan to settle for today's product. There are no real
talent coups,
coaching is OK but not exemplary, and
management is poor. And when I say poor it is in terms of cap management, contracts, and talent acquisitions. I'll tell you guys . . . this drought is demoralizing.
And don't talk that back to back 12 win seasons when the team can't really make a serious run at a championship. The regular season is, well . . . regular. It's there to get you into the real tournament. Look around the league and you can see the teams that excel at all 3 phases of being a winning franchise (acquiring talent, very good to great coaching, strong management). We are just a step behind in all of these.
