Not a good look
If this season goes sideways, I have a feeling it’s going to be strongly related to the play at right and left tackle.EXACTLY.
I mean...
I KNOW yada yada all the NFL lacks quality offensive linemen. I know that.
BUT an offensive tackle room consisting of Guyton, Steele, Jones and Shelton?
Anybody other than Thunderpimp, Jarntt, or Duncanslo and myself have a slight problem with that?
Oh never mind.
They had the number 2 offense, that's right.
Dont need no stinkin passblockers! LOL!
COWBOYS!!
It will be a shame if that happens , Steele's struggle is not something sudden , he had one good year run blocking. Guyton has been a reach , unless he gets his act together. If this season goes sideways, I have a feeling it’s going to be strongly related to the play at right and left tackle.
I think there is more to thisInterestingly, Milton was on the initial 53-man roster when the other teams desperate for a QB, would have snagged him if he were available. The Cowboys waited until those team filled their need before releasing Milton. Now, Milton has cleared waivers and is a free agent. I hope the Cowboys are trying to add him to their practice squad.
For toilet paper.Would have kept Julius Wood and Barron
Because he is better than Trigg.Schoonmaker still taking up roster space for some unknown reason
That's my thinking as well .. they knew they were going to release him but waited as long as they could so teams had already made commitments to their backup quarterbacks.Interestingly, Milton was on the initial 53-man roster when the other teams desperate for a QB, would have snagged him if he were available. I think there is more to it than that. As a free agent, he can negotiate a better deal if two or more teams want him. We haven't heard about him connected to any team yet.I think there is more to this
It’s been nearly 24 hours and he remains unsigned. I imagine if he wanted back here he would be.
I bet that's exactly what's going on. We'll hear something by the end of Friday. That's my thinking as well .. they knew they were going to release him but waited as long as they could so teams had already made commitments to their backup quarterbacks.
That combined with the fact he would have to learn a new playbook pretty much eliminates Milton getting a QB2 role for week #1 with any team, so he has time to decide what he wants to do.
My guess is the Cowboys told him (or his agent at least) that they need an answer by Friday or they will need to sign another quarterback instead.
I would have to believe the Cowboys have been talking to other quarterbacks since they released him in case another team claimed him or he decided to sign elsewhere.
