Just saw this.

Some cheesy ESPN "app" my buddy has installed on his TV. Basically a couple of sections, one of which is just random facts.

Had Dallas down as giving up 62 pass plays of 20 yards or more in the last 4 seasons.

I think the next closest was San Fran and they were at 59.

Honestly, I'm pretty shocked Dallas was #1 in that area.

I gotta believe a lot of that is just the horrid safety play over the past 4 years and horrid CB play during half of that time.

Should see improvement though. The team has spent enough to get it.

That has to get batter if the Boys wanna make a run.

I knew we were bad but not that bad.

Hopefully that is fixed now.

but there may be poster(s) in here will tell you that we don't need CB's we need more OG's... our coverage was so bad at times last year that before our pass rushers could take 2 steps the opposing QB had the option to throw to almost any receiving target he wanted...it was the most pitiful display of coverage I have ever seen having watched Dallas for most of their existence

It was the offensive line's fault. :blind:

Just a guess but Dallas is probably the only team who's QB has suffered broken bones in 3 of the last 4 seasons.

while that might be true Romo wasn't the most sacked qb over that time frame...so could be his bones break a little easier than other Qb's or just bad luck...

Hmnnn...maybe that's why Ryan was saying stuff like 'Looking at nothing but DBs...just DBs.'

Lies all lies, OL play doesn't matter and our line is great

Its Costa's fault... Bad snaps and being pushed back caused the defense to lose concentration and focus..

That doesn't shock me at all. TNew seemed to be chasing guys down field every game.

Let's draft decastro and then a center in round in two so we can upgrade our oline. That's our biggest weakness. 'sarcastic beyond belief' our secondary has been horrible we needed new guys back there. Needed to get rid of alot of wade Philips guys. Well see a whole new defense come this season

or Romo manages to avoid a lot of sacks that most other QBs could not.

But hey that does not matter. Lets have his ribs get broken again. Or his finger; or his collar bone. Its all in our imagination that Romo runs for his life so much of the time.
Its all in our imagination that a big reason Red Ball calls a lot of 3 steps is that if he called 5 or 7 steps a lot of the time romo would be in the morgue.

Yeah just ignore that problem.

He also holds the ball longer opening himself up for sacks.

Well thank goodness we didn't overpay for Carl Nicks. Drew Brees has been pretty banged up the last few years. Played through a torn MCL in 2010. Those Saints guards must be really overrated.

Pretty sure Big Ben played in and won SBs with broken bones and crappy OLs. But he did have Willie Parker and Hines Ward!

The Giants won a couple of SBs with ordinary secondaries. So did the Saints. Colts. Patriots. Really I could go on and on.
