Lil' Dan wants to keep the pedal to the metal:

But Gruden has already ignored him once (starting Cousins over RG3) so I expect he will probably do the same here and not play most of his starters.

Except the article was written by Rick Snider and made no mention of Dan SNYDER whatsoever.........This is why it's hard to take Cowboy fans seriously sometimes.

Want a real analysis...that's good?

Question: How would have this Cowboys franchise been impacted had the Dallas Cowboys selected Johnny Manziel? Do you think DeMarco Murray wouldn't have had such a great year (because of no Martin) and he might have ended up re-signing in Dallas? I know it's tough to go down that rabbit hole...

Kristi Scales: Yes, drafting Manziel instead of Martin would have made a dramatic impact. Not necessarily in whether or not DeMarco would remain with the Cowboys, but just the fact that Martin is a cornerstone player who made 1st team All Pro as a rookie. That's All Pro, not just Pro Bowl. But he was voted one of the two best guards in all of the NFL in his very first season. Martin was a great pick who, if he stays healthy and hungry, will be a perennial participant in Honolulu as well as future All Pro picks. Manziel would have likely gotten one start last year (that's what Weeden got, vs Arizona, after Romo was hurt in the Commanders game). Obviously Manziel, if he stayed out of trouble, would have had ample opportunity this year. It's fun to go down the rabbit hole and think of 'what if', but the Cowboys absolutely made a great pick -- short term and long term -- in Martin. It just wasn't a sexy pick.

I wish a Cowboys victory could keep the Commanders out of the playoffs. It would be sweet to be a spoiler. Alas, they've already clinched.

This tickles me to no end...

The Dallas Cowboys (4-11) opened up as a four-point favorites over theWashington Commanders (8-7) for Week 17 of the NFL season.

According to OddsShark, the Cowboys are favored to beat the Commanders by a little more than a field goal this Sunday.

Hopefully the result is the same as the last time the Cowboys were favored against a division champion.
