Monday’s news that the Dallas Cowboys released safety Gerald Sensabaugh and placed the franchise tag on outside linebacker/defensive end Anthony Spencer for a second consecutive season overshadowed the release of two other members of the franchise.

The Cowboys announced Monday that cornerback Vince Agnew and linebacker Brashton Satele have been let go.

I thought someone would come along and tell us who they are and why we should rue. I think I've heard their names mentioned. Not going to look them up. Others can post if they like.

Don't know about you people but I thirst for news this time of year. Not into baseball much these days and I only watch basketball for the playoffs.

I hate baseball and living in Dodger country I want to hang myself! Let's throw a ball and hit it with a stick and watch a game that can be played for 6 plus hours? uh no thanks

During the summer as a kid the first free thing I'd do is visit a neighbor and read their paper. I would go thru every inch of the sports section. On Sundays they had two pages of stats with virtually every player in the bigs there. I knew most players BA or ERA esp the Red Sox and Yankees.

We played every day mostly all day with some water and food breaks. That's when we weren't playing organized ball somewhere or getting a free adult to take us to a ballpark to play a team from another town.

Most kids don't play anymore. Too busy with other things and too many not doing something active even if its not baseball.

I think that's part of the reason why many aren't that interested.

The rest is as you mentioned. The game has changed. Too many players and too many teams to keep up with baseball completely; at least for many people.

And you're right. The game is too long. My brother umpires usually behind the plate. He makes them play but he does mostly HS and some leagues non-pro and most of them have limits on time.

I don't know. I know some huge fans but not as many. Maybe it's mostly just me getting old.

Never a Dodger fan and haven't followed since the days of Koufax and Drysdale. I've heard some stuff but not interested enough to know much. Games too long and too slow. You can't keep kids there that long and expect much from them after awhile. Same for me, too. :)

My facebook gets flooded with Spring training and Doyers/Giants Doyers/Angel crap and I just can't stand it. I see nothing fun about the sport at all. To top it off as a Lakers fan I get to see all the "clippers fans" (that never followed them before) coming out of thr wood works to slam the lakers. So annoying. Win something before you "brag".

What's funny is that one of the media guys reported this as a salary cap move.

The weird thing is that the Cowboys released Satele in May last year. Both then and now there were no advantages to the release. He must have broken some rule or something.

this will go down as the day of rueage. OKay im done. Good moves by the Cowboys. Keep churning, keep looking, keep replacing if need be. The need to replace Sensabaugh has come and i liked Sensy, so im fine with all this.
