IRVING, Texas -- With all of their seventh-round draft picks signed, the Dallas Cowboys have signed fifth-round pick, wide receiver Devin Street, to a four-year deal.

The Cowboys moved up in the fifth round to select Street, whose 202 career catches are a Pittsburgh record, with the 146th pick. He finished with 202 catches for 2,901 yards, which is third best in school history, and 16 touchdowns.

Whatever happened to that bust Coale? A fan favorite after we drafted him. Anyway, hope Street can be good. This was a deep WR class. I like his size. Seems to mix well with Dez, Terrance, and Cole. And hopefully we can get Witten and Escobar involved too.

Looking for a wide receiver to replace two-time Pro Bowler Miles Austin, the Dallas Cowboys traded up to draft Pittsburgh’s Devin Street in the fifth round earlier this month.

On Friday, Street’s agent tweeted that his client signed his rookie contract.
Although Street is roughly 30 pounds lighter and an inch taller than Austin, his ability to line up at multiple receiver positions is similar to the eight-year veteran.
“I can’t worry about that,” Street said. “I’m not trying to replace anybody.

“I definitely have respect for him. He was valued around here a lot. At the same time, I’m a different wide receiver than Miles. All I can do is be the best that I can be.”
While he needs to add weight to his 6-3, 190-pound frame, Street’s precise route-running is what the Cowboys coveted. In 10 starts last season in Pitt’s pro-style scheme, he caught 51 passes for 854 yards and seven touchdowns.

Dallas had a third-round grade on Street and view him as a potential No. 3 receiver behind Dez Bryant and Terrance Williams.

I recall some really did like him.

His issues were injuries though....we don't really know if he'll find a home in the NFL.

In any case, I like Street.

Don't forget about Antonio Bryant, the guy who loved Bill Parcells so much that he tried to give him his jersey.....by throwing it in his face. "Hey Coach, catch"!

Bryant really dropped the ball. He really did have Pro Bowl talent. That incident ruined his career.

I've watched a bit of his film since we've drafted him. I like him more than I liked williams at this point last year.

Doesn't say much because Williams began proving me wrong, but I'm excited about this player.

Well, the organization definitely had high hopes for him and considered him a great young talent, no doubt. So much so, he was designated the next "88". However, his brain and immaturity won out.
