Props to Williams and congrats to the Cowboys brain trust for selling him on that contract.
aside from oline turnover, they've maintained some good continuity on offense - good thing for a 2nd year QB. We have depth to backfill the departures of Leary and Free. The dfense side of the ball is a different story, an already less than stout squad has been depleted.

I hope he can catch better and focus a little better on the field. But it's better if the offense stays intact for Dak.

It'll be interesting to see if this bugs the guy any goodwill with the fans long-term. Sort of the anti-Carr effect.

The problem with that is we don't know what offers he had. We're assuming he had better.

Not only better, but significantly better. Like, to the tune of twice as much money better.

$4M/year is a fair deal for him, IMO.

Considering that he's the 4th or 5th option in this offense, he's been an outstanding contributor. After Dez, Witten, Beasley, and (arguably) Zeke, for hm to get 40 receptions per season is exceptional. $17m for 4 years is a bargain.

I would have rather had Brandin Cooks. NE wins again. They never stop winning.

Totally agree. Great resigning. T-Will is a good receiver and great blocker in the running game.

I'm glad Williams and the Cowboys came to an agreement. I think it is a great deal for the Cowboys. I would still look to find more outside speed but this move I think keeps the Cowboys from reaching and gives them the ability to focus in on defense. if a WR falls in the draft that can bring more speed great

Looking at the contract, it appears that there are some incentives he can meet over the years and the contract could be worth a bit
more than 20mil. Still not a bad contract for a WR who will likely retire a Cowboy. Very rare players don't go for just money in today's NFL. I think he
continues to improve bit by bit every year and I think he really enjoys playing with Dez. Nice signing by the Cowboys.

Dallas Cowboys: Terrance Williams Shows Uncommon Loyalty

http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/dallas-cowboys-terrance-williams-shows-uncommon-loyalty-031217

While many players are trying to cash in as much as possible, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrance Williams showed loyalty, taking less to stay home.

The team. The team. The team. That’s the message pressed home daily by Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett. To outsiders, it probably feels like a cheesy mantra, but one guy who believes in it would obviously be wide receiver Terrance Williams. A starter since his rookie season, the former third-round pick out of Baylor was a free agent for just a few days before surprisingly re-signing with the only NFL team he has ever known.

His contract was almost as surprising as him staying put. Most would have assumed that T-Will was going to leave town and that he would receive a big deal like similar players have recently. In 2016 the Atlanta Falcons gave Mohamed Sanu a five-year deal worth $32 million, $14 million of which was guaranteed. The same offseason, his former teammate in Cincinnati, Marvin Jones, received a five-year $40 million contract from the Detroit Lions—$20 million of that was guaranteed...
We've all had our own personal issues with TWill and his play. BUT for him to take that much of a hit just to stay in Dallas shows is loyalty and commitment to Dallas. He is the RKG JG keeps talking about, sacrifice for the greater good.

If we could a few more players to follow his example Dallas would be in great shape.

He's not that good of a player, but for 4years/17m, he def did show us some loyalty. That's a good discount for us

He got what he should get if NFL contracts weren't getting out of hand.

I thought he was a sure thing for 8 mill a year.

None of the FA deals have been that bad really.

With Romo, he was worth about that contract. ($4.25M/per) Last year without Romo, he was not. He didn't even break 600 yards last year. He is a #3 WR and that isn't worth $4.25M/per.

So, I disagree. He didn't give a discount to stay. He got more to stay than he is worth on the open market.

I think the youth at rb and qb also influenced his decision some. Hes comfortable here w dak/zeke leading the way. Bright future.

He knew he underperformed. That wasn't loyalty, it was a rightful discount for services rendered. We should have moved on from this loser.

I wasn't a fan of him returning at the numbers that some fans were tossing around as if they were nothing, like $6-$8 million a year, but I can't complain about these numbers, especially considering what some of the free agent receivers were being paid. When Robert Woods is getting nearly $8 million a year, this contract looks like a real bargain.

You sound as if Williams personally injured you.

My goodness man. Get a grip.

TWill is a scrub. His discount re-signing reflects this. Other similar WRs in the league are making bank compared to what he just agreed to. I mean, thank you for not taking the Cowboys to the cleaners but let's not act like he deserved better.
