Dallas Cowboys, the only NFL team not allowed to lose

The Vikings are the NFC equivalents of the Buffalo Bills.
Each of your teams have lost 4 Super Bowls, correct? (It's around 4 each in any case)

There are no grand expectations for the Bills or Vikings typically. Two bland teams.

Plus all of their success this season is because they hired Favre, their arch rival from the Packers for years.

That would be like us needing Manning or McNabb to win another Super Bowl. :puke: Can you even imagine?

What football ******!!

The freaks come out at night. So do the trolls.

i am NOT trolling. i was having a debate about football and was accused of failing basic math...this is a legit discussion about the expectations surrounding the dallas cowboys and the criticism they tend to receive after bad losses....

That really would make me sick to my stomach.

Did Wade take over a top talent team though? We were 9-7 the last two years under Parcells. He never won more than 10 games with that team.

I would take Parcells over Wade any day but Wade has gotten more out of them than Parcells.

Fair enough. Wade has done well with them even if it's been the minimum of very high expectations.

Sorry. It's just that when you have so few posts (right after a big loss) and all of them are negative, you look like a troll.

What high expectations, he inherited a 9-7 team.

This year we were in the final four of the NFC, and the elite 8 of the NFL.

It can't stop there though, we have to continue to improve next season.

Don't apologize, you are right on the money.

Factual errors present, Dallas never marketed the moniker "America's team" the nFL and media did, Landry hated it because Dallas was already the winningest team of the decade and being gunned for,

Dallas is in the spotlight because they win more than anyone, have more playoff appearances, playoff wins, super bowl appearances and until last year super bowl wins.

It has nothing to do with 70s marketing and everything to do with consistent winning.

Dallas hasn't had a losing record in any decade of play, even after the lackluster start to the last one they rebounded.

So you're saying Jerry Jones and team members since his ownership haven't stated and pushed that moniker of America's Team at all or marketed themselves as a hot team? How else would they still get media limelight, national games when a playoff win hasn't occurred this millenium up until now and not much success has occurred since the titles in the 90s? Jerry likes the limelight and pushes for it so it is what it is.

the franchise i go for usually doesnt make it to the post season so having a 2nd team has always been essential to enjoy the playoffs..we havent all enjoyed the prosperity of the cowboys fanbase :)

Skins, Eagles, Pats, or Steelers.

Those 4 teams are the ones who Americas Team bothers most.

Is that Romo's fault? He has received some criticism as if he was supposed to be Superman yesterday. Some are saying Favre did better under pressure, but Favre was not under the same type of duress. The Cowboys got beaten. It happens to every team, but the Cowboys get lambasted way more than others. It comes with the territory.

I was asked once by someone in my office why we were called Americas team. I asked her if she remembered all the hype and BS that was going on when Romo was dating Simpson and she said she did. I asked if she remembered the Jessica masks and all the shots of her sitting in Texas stadium and she did. I asked her who was the winningest superbowl QB in the last 10 years and she said she thought it was either Brady or Rothleisberger. Then I ask, who do they date? She got it!!!!
