If we beat Carolina it will be an upset---no matter what they say !!!!
Not really.
We are talking about Thanksgiving Day,bros.
I can't remember the last time we were not favored then.
I was at the first one back in '66 when we beat the Cleveland Browns.
In my mind..that was the greatest game I ever attended.
Jim Brown was just devastating at RB and Frank Collins was a Cowboy Killer at WR and Franke Ryan was a great QB for them..he was a Dr. as I recall.
But Meredith, Lilly, Dan Reeves and Don Perkins and Mel Renfro were their equals and we fans gladly postponed dinner till after we got home from the game.
I was only about 14 and I clearly remember my older brother had just bought a VCR recorder and set the timer up for the first time to record the game while we were gone.
What a party as we all rushed into rewind the tape and actually saw a Cowboy replayed game for the first time!
We turned the TV toward the table and all stayed up past midnight watching the replay..rolling the tape back on the big play and doing slow-mo..
All fun memories.
Thanksgiving and the Cowboys has been an institution since then and I really look forward to Thursday after enduring this season.
Go Cowboys!
It's a time to be thankful.
