So Crawford a backup rotation guy on the decline .... is actually gonna make more money dollars for this year than what pro bowl caliber DE and starter Griffen is gonna get ? ... wow, that sounds utterly ridiculous. Just for the sake of Locker room presence and a Covid 19 reserve body ?
...SMH...
I try to place a comparison to Griffin, and have thought maybe a better version of Ebenezer Ekuban sp.... ?
yup, and only 3 mil against this years cap if he misses his incentives. Extremely team friendly.
good question, I am not sure.what was going on In Minny where Griffen chose to opt out of his 5 year 42 million dollar contract, that he received 20 million
guaranteed, ..?
Either he wanted out of Minny so badly that he thought he could recoup a similar contract with another NFL team, or could top what he got
with the Vikes, ..and it gravely backfired on him big time.
Don’t cut Crawford....you keep him. Having depth is a good problem to have anytime but even more so in a year like this with covid and so much uncertainty. Not to mention it’s not like griffen isn’t without his share of problems -Whose to say him or smith don’t have any off the field issues and we need Crawford.
We will need all the pass rush and run support we need to make life easier for the secondary and rest of the defense
I actually think Aldon is going to be very good, possibly better than Griffen, but the primary option with Gregory not being reinstated would have been to rotate him with Crawford unless one of the young ends stepped up.
I like Crawford more than some on here, but he's not a RDE. He's only started there previously because we failed to find a starter. Crawford is better off possibly spelling Lawrence at LDE some and McCoy at 3-tech, which is Crawford's best position.
An end rotation of Smith, Griffen and Lawrence is exciting. If a young guy knocks Crawford out as the fourth end, that's even better, but we've been waiting for that for a while now.
I say put him at safety! Position Flex!!!!Notice you've listed FOUR possible positions he can play( lol).
Clowney had 3 sacks last season and has never had double digit sacks in his career.
Greg Hardy 2.0? Hardy was a good player, he was even a solid player for us...he didn’t make it because he’s a psycho. Huge difference.

There's nothing to disagree with. Woods was banged up and Maliek was crap against the run. Poe/McCoy duo grading out signficantly better is pretty much a givenI don't agree with it, but I'll take it since you provided a source with substance.
Kudos.
Hill is probably safe for this year. They had originally said they wanted 4 interior lineman but with the 3T backup being a 3rd round rookie there going to do a rotation of Hill and Gillmore (too much of a risk to only have 1).HILL WONT BE HERE if MM says so.
Sure, but I look it like both guys are at 75% of their peak at this point, but limiting their snaps to rotate in Woods, Gallimore, etc will let them play better in fewer snaps, plus play a longer career.
I just looked it up and last year McCoy averaged 44 snaps a game and Poe averaged 39 (in ten starts), I think both will improve if they play fewer snaps.
Poe actually had a very good year as a pass rusher last year. Would have had 7-8 sacks if he didnt get hurt
Nicht eine bischen?macht nichts
In his prime, Greg Ellis. Now? Hard to say.I try to place a comparison to Griffin, and have thought maybe a better version of Ebenezer Ekuban sp.... ?
Crawford is making too much to be a reserve. It would cost us an additional $7.25 million to keep him over Dorrance Armstrong. He’s not $7.25 million dollars better.
We’d be better off cutting him and rolling his salary forward. Spend the money on someone better.
nicht einmal ein wenigNicht eine bischen?

They'll send 2 DE's to practice squad instead of 1 and that will free up a spot for a 5th interior lineman. Since Gillmore and Hill where drafted high cowboys don't have the option to store one in reserve on practice squad since both would get snatched up
