Dallas Is The Team Most Over The Cap

I have Tampa winning the division and the Falcons taking a wild card. The funny thing is the new salary cap is going to force Tampa to spend that money which means they will be serious players for nnamdi asomugha since their boy is probably going to get locked up for 10 years.

Cowboys will be fine with the cap - they will have enough contracts to restructure and enough players to cut to make sure they resign everyone and make a play for some FAs.

Can't be. We have the best GM in the game. No way this could be true...

Care to show me one person on this forum that has claimed Jerry is the best GM in the game? I'll wait.

tampa could basically afford all the top free agents or atleast 4 or 5 top guys. Jeez. Wasn't they pretty good for a young team last year.

yeah they were.

My guess is that they will be pretty active during the signing period. I'd like to see them add some experienced vets to that lineup before I completely buy in.

I still give the edge to the Falcons and Saints in that division do to QB play. Plus Matt Ryan has a new toy to play with in Julio Jones. Although, Atlanta should have targeted some pass rushers.

After looking at the draft this year, I would say that Jason Garrett, if not co-GM, at least has a seat at the table.

people and their knee jerk reactions, Tampa has 60 million, they can buy anyone, doesnt mean they get the right person. Yes they were a good young team, doesnt translate to the new year. 1 bad injury or a coach who hampers them and need we remind the NFL they are still the Bucs.

Lets wait before we get all giddy over them.

Yep, the Commanders could buy anyone, and look what happened to them.

Good for Tampa. If they do things right they'll have a real good, young team, for a long while.

we are also the the third highest team with the most of our own veterans signed so it isnt as bad as it seems. prossman

I think Tampa Bay will be verrrry good this year... They could be SB contenders with the right additions. Josh Freeman is a beast.

Isn't anyone on this board allowed to be sarcastic without their comments having to necessarily refer to a specific poster?

Take a look at how many rookies started for the Bucs and how many players they had on IR last year.

Raheem is doing everything but hampering them.

This team of youngsters is sneaking up on everyone.

Add NA, and bring all the injured guys back healthy...look out NFC South.

Josh Freeman, Mike Williams, Arrelious Benn, LaGarrette Blount, Winslow...OL consisting of Faine, Joseph, and Donald Penn...Monster DL shaping up with Clayborn, McCoy, Price, Roy Miller (and don't forget Bowers).

I have a feeling that the late season matchup vs. the Bucs could be one of the biggest games of the season.

Fair enough.

But it was kind a of stupid comment IMO. As if the current cap snapshot defines the quality of the GM.

It was just a convenient opportunity for the poster to slam the GM regardless of its applicability or accuracy.

Sure. Is it prohibited to ask how one comes upon such sarcastic assumptions? Or is sarcasm the final word here?

I'd use a very different adjective to describe such comments.

youre joking right? They didnt beat any good teams last year... all their wins came from below average teams.
