Dallas just had it's worst shooting half of the year...

Damn, that was frustrating. No way Mavs lose Game 2.
The Warriors are hungry, at least that's what Baron Davis said.

It's gonna be tough for the Mavs just like the Lakers will be for the Suns.

If the Mavs drop to 0-2 against the Warriors, then I'll be really concerned. Losing Game 1 has not necessarily been an indicator of doom fro the Mavs (as Rockets-05 and the Spurs and Suns series last year would attest)

The Warriors are a tough matchup, but I think Dallas will pull it out.

We can't play small ball with them, we need to go big, and take our chances in a zone.

That was the first game I attended since 2000 when Dennis Rodman was on the team. Yeah, it's been way too long, but hey - I was a poor college student.

I thought Dallas' defense was pretty good in the first half - if it wasn't for six or seven totally blown lay ups, the Mavs should have been up 10 at the half.

Baron Davis went crazy in the 2nd half. They'd be all over him and he'd drain an 18-foot jumper with two hands in his face. Unconscious.

The Mavs have got to start playing better defense against guards. The Warriors just ran up and down the court and got whatever points they wanted in the paint.

The Mavs' shot horribly from the field. They can't expect to let GS run wild and then throw up a bunch of brick jumpers and expect to win this series. But I'm expecting Avery to bring his team prepared Wednesday night.

the only thing that would concern me if i was a mavs fan is the decision to play at the tempo that they are comfortable at (going small ball) i think its a mistake to do that and i think they should try to impose their tempo on GS by keeping damp or diop in there. We tried to play small ball with the mavs in 06 and it was prob the worst coaching decision pop ever made. JMO

its still just one game tho

And where was Greg Buckner?? He's the best defender on the team, put him on Davis geez. Give me Jet, Buck (or Devean), Josh, Dirk and Diop, and slow it down. They're not as good as the Suns, but you can take the same approach to beating them.

Relax fellas, it is only one game. Hopefully Dirk will stop taking so many jumpshots and take it to the basket like he was doing in the Playoffs last year.

i guess but dirk elbows somebody everytime he drives to the hoop. the mavs get more calls than any other team.

You actually believe your quote in bold?

To me, that is the equivalent of a Mavs fan coming out and saying Cuban isn't a whiner...just doesn't make sense.

I don't think the Mavs get an unusually high number of calls.

As for Cuban... there's no better sight than seeing his frowning, crying mug at the end of a loss.
