For Mavs fans, they have upgraded their roster this year.
Hard to say what the result will be but it is a clear upgrade.
More athletic, more physical, and more versatile.

Monte Ellis had 32 pts
Sam Dalembert has 9 reb
Jose Calderon had 11 assists

oh yeah. Dirk had 24 , 8, and 5...not bad.

Good start. Monta and Dirk look like a great combo, potentially. Onwards to the Rockets.

I'm still worried about the defense but they should have no problems putting up points.

Nice comeback win vs the Rockets!
They switched to a zone in the 4th period and really messed with their heads. Nice move.
Ellis had 37 and Dirk had 35.
I also looks like they may ahve foud something in rookie Shane Larkin.

Biggest thing is Monta is very much an efficient playmaker next to Dirk.
That guy at ~8m a year is a ridiculous bargain.

And Dirk clearly picks his nights but he loves big games and he really still can do his elite level thing when games count.

They probably need a deal or two to realize more than round 1 but this a definite playoff team.

Rox are as bad defensively as the Mavs, maybe even worse. --really need to trade asik and lin for a couple defenders that can help the rotation. How great would Marion fit as a 3/4 there? If they weren't division and state rivals a trade between Rox and Mavs would be a perfect fit.
