Taking a look at some early best bets for the Cowboys this upcoming season.

Win Total: Over/Under 10. Dallas has one huge asset heading into the regular season. It has a franchise quarterback in Prescott and a solid relationship between quarterback and coach. “He takes care of us. He builds his relationships,” the 29-year-old said of McCarthy, per The Athletic’s Jon Machota. “We have a great relationship that has continued to build.”

As long as Prescott stays healthy, the Cowboys will be in the playoff mix this season. They have too much talent across the roster to not push for the postseason in the underwhelming NFC.

Looking outside the division, the NFC’s top contenders include the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Rams, Green Bay Packers and Arizona Cardinals. It would be a surprise if Dallas didn’t claim one of the seven postseason berths.

Dallas should also top its over/under of 10 wins. The Cowboys have the league’s easiest schedule (tied) in terms of opposing 2021 win percentage (.462). They’re coming off a 12-5 campaign and should again see double-digit wins in 2022.

Depends on how horrid the NFC East is again. Bad as last year, yes it would be pretty weird if they didn't make the playoffs. Marginally better, it could come down to last few games to squeak in.

The article didn’t say we’d run away with division like last year . Just that we should be in the mix for the playoffs as long as Dak stays healthy.

Definitely a no brainer. But, it all depends on Moore. He was exposed numerous of times last season. IF he can call plays all over the map, he won't be exposed.

North & South had less wins than the East and we had 2 teams make the playoffs.
Very true. I’m not sure that provides a sound argument our division was any better. But possibly not as bad top to bottom as some would argue.

It’s not likely we could have won either of those divisions with Tampa or Green Bay. But we might could have still made the playoffs as WC.

Dak is the best QB in the division, no question about that.
And no team has improved, nor became worse after FA or the draft. With the exception possibly the Eagles, though slightly, on paper. Their season hinges on the progress of Hurts.

Dallas is the current division champs, and remain the favorites.
Whatever team wins the division, I consider them to be the favorites, until they get bumped off. Very few times I will say another team is the favorite. Such as after the 2020 season, going into 2021, I did not consider Washington the favorites. As they won the NFCE by default. Dallas and Philly were the better teams going into last year for the division even with Hurts at QB.

And both will be again.

I’m not really sure how we can absolutely say no divisional team has improved thru the draft or FA?

Thats still to be determined . It’s entirely possible they have made some progress on us. We shall see.

Id agree on much of the rest.

You are definitely looking through Cowboys colored glasses if you think the other teams didn't improve. The Eagles added a ton of pieces and the Giants had 2 top 7 picks. And love him or hate him but Wentz could make the Skins more dangerous. I agree the Cowboys are still the favorite for the division, but it's hard to say it will be as much of a cake walk this year,

To be honest I don't care about the Division win anymore as home field advantage doesn't seem to help us.

And I'd be really surprised if this team didn't went to the play offs. But when happens then matters.

yeah and giants got a new HC, judge was awful.
phil did ok last season, and added a bunch of new players, only problem with them is they still are rolling with hurts.
Wash, I doubt wentz makes much of a difference, they had way more issues than qb position.

And with half the nfc making playoffs , doing that just says your top 7 in NFC.
So dallas should make playoffs.

I’d say Dallas and Philly sweep Washington and New York and then split at home.

5-1 sounds realistic for both.

People that parrot the same media talking points continue to suggest it's the worst division, attempting to discount winning out in our division. And that's last season.
Suggesting it now is even dumber.
