I know OL, DL and S are major needs, but I really hope the Cowboys sign a veteran WR in free agency.

I would wait for the market to settle down, then try and sign a guy like Early Doucet or Steve Breaston if he checks out medically.

I seriously doubt that Dez and/or Miles can make it through 16 games completely healthy.

I really like Dwayne Harris, but I'm not sure how effective he would be as an outside guy. I don't think it would hurt to bring in a vet who can play on the outside. The Cowboys were hoping Andre Holmes was that guy, but they really missed on that one.

Alot more needs ahead of wr. I don't want to keep signing vet players. Rather see what Harris and Beasley can do

You can't have it both ways... Make up your mind what you want, RB is also a need.. It is time to fix these trenches & the safety position once and for all!

I don't care much for how veteran he is, but I'd like to see a WR with speed and the ability to play outside added to the rotation.

Miles IS a veteran WR. I don't think we need another receiver unless he brings something new to the table. Swipe is my guy, he's fiery and apparently quite the athlete but with Harris, Beasley and Coale already on the roster, that's three slot receivers on the roster already.

Not trying to have it both ways. I would use the draft to focus on OL, DL, S and RB.

I'd only use FA for the WR position.

Im sure Jerry can trade a couple of 1sts for Percy Harvin ... kind of as payback for that whole Hershel Walker thing.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Vikings are "trying to trade" Percy Harvin, and are "in discussions" with the Seahawks, "amongst other teams."
Schefter doesn't name other teams, but says the Seahawks are "favored." ESPN 1500 Twin Cities seconds the report, and "leans toward it happening." It's bombshell news that confirms months of rumors and innuendo. Among the most aggressive and unconventional teams in the league, we wouldn't be surprised if the Seahawks have already offered a strong package for the gifted receiver. Harvin with Russell Wilson would be an impossibly dangerous duo. Unless Harvin has become one of the biggest headaches in league history behind the scenes, there's not a single scenario where trading him would be a net gain for the Vikes.

No money means NO MAS....
We have lots of needs on the lines & safety which we won't fill in free agency either. Just look to the draft and hope. We won't have any money to spend unless/until Romo is extended.... Even then, we would have to shop in the bargain basement bin. You can keep dreaming, but the nightmare is in the closet my friend....

That is the important part of the post IMO.

After the initial wave of FA passes, after the draft passes and the team does not feel it addressed the WR need.

At that time they might look in FA and see if there are any bargains out there.

out of the dozen needs of this team, receiver is way down on that list...

Say that when Harris and Beasley are your starting receivers because both Dez and Miles are out hurt again....

And they're slap-fighting over which one of them gets to play in the slot.

i agree, Cowboys need to give some of the young players a try, and i think they will do fine!.. the only vet i would consider is Danny Amendola... buuut we don't have that kind of money..

I'm 99.9% confident that Dallas will make a move at WR in free agency...

"We don't have the money for Amendola." That just doesn't sound right.....:lmao2:

Think Dallas likes what they have in Harris and Coale. Beasly i think might not make it out of TC this yr.

They could give Burress or Moss veteran minimum but I would rather see what Beasley and Harris can do. Plus we have Hanna at TE.

I'll predict it right now: Steve Breaston or Early Doucet will be a Cowboy.
