The Steelers get Brown the ball in space as much as possible. Beasley has some pretty good RAC ability and a bigger catch radius than most think. A couple of years ago Brown was also a role player and now look at him. Beasley's ceiling is higher than most people realize.

I totally agree.

He gets open quick... If he and Romo can get good timing down then it's almost impossible to guard the guy if he comes off the line untouched.

If you don't jam him he'll most likely find a window for at least 1 full second.

Kind of funny. Earlier in the season we seen more screens with Murray and Dunbar.

Here lately..not so much.

I think it was somewhere in the 4th quarter before Murray even had a pass...he was doing pretty good out of the back field earlier in the year.

Not sure if they made a decision to limit his touches to keep him fresh at the end of the year and in their mind the easiest way to do that was to limit passes his way or not.

However if they can get Cole involved in that it would be nice.

Oh and I think it would be nice to see them feed Escobar a little more as I think it would be something that would catch other teams off guard a little. Oh well...only so many players get touches so it is what it is.

Screens and dink and dunk all day when they stack the box.. 5-12 yard passes were there all night...

Forget ealier in the year, Murray had 9 catches last week against the Bears. I was wondering why they weren't using him more on dump offs. Romo should have dump it off to him on the play he fumbled.

I loved that play to Beasley.. he's an efficient receiver. I still don't get why we don't play action more though. Even out of the gun.

Especially when we get across midfield and teams load the box against us.

He's a threat to get a positive gain every time we run that play and he's so small and shifty that he could break it for a big gain.

Denver uses this play as a staple and it keeps teams honest. Dallas should do the same.

BTW, Cole Beasley and Witten killed it last night.

This is not college and given the way teams press across the los out of short zones, I don't think your strategy would work. If they crowd the line and send 3 and 4 only the rest are spread out trying to get their hands on receivers. They tried a screen yesterday and it had no chance; they didn't bother afterwards.

I liked Linehan's gameplan better. Pass protect and have them chase for 10-15 yards and through a hard cut. Romo had open receivers all game.

I haven't agreed with you in a long time. I do on this.

I am not sure if he is built to take the punishment that comes with running those WR screens.

Im confident it will based on how other teams use it so effectively.

Especially when teams just stack the box on us like that..

Also, just because a play doesn't work 1 time doesn't mean you abandon it and it was a half back screen.

I'm talking about bubble screens to the receiver. 3 or 4 times a game at least we should be running that play.

They need to also figure out how to do that with Dunbar. It's a waste to use Dunbar as strictly a runner. He needs to be put out in space to be effective.

Did you just put A. Brown and Cole Beasley in the same sentence?

Yes. But I think Beasley could be a poor man's Antonio Brown. Beasley is actually faster and has a higher vertical. Brown is 2 inches taller though. They both have great hands and I think both are very football smart. Why not?

Without a doubt this *"little fudger" is money. His completion if targeted very down would. Eric something crazy like 90%.

* I use the term little fudger as a term of affection. :) He is great. Glad he is a cowboy!

I am a supporter of increasing Beasley's workload. The little dude has made me a believer. I think he could be a Julian Edelman type here.

So why can other teams do it and not us?

Is the Cowboys O-Line not in shape compared to other teams? Is that what you're saying?

I think it's more of the fact that we're pounding the rock a lot more than other teams. Therefor, we're likely to be more gassed if we're making them do too many screens as well.

I'm a BIG Beasley fan. So is Dez. I certainly hope they continue to get him involved. Any way you can spread out the offense and make the defense have to constantly second guess is huge. Hence 38 points.

Not just Beasley but all the WR should be used more in the screen game but I think the coaching staff sees that Romo has a hard time throwing screens.

I wonder how much thicker he could get without losing that wiggle. I see Brady throwing to Eldelman 15 times a game and he's about the same size. I was wondering what the harm would be to put him out wide in place of TW (using tons of motion to get him off the snap similar to NE)? Then in 3 wide, put him back in his slot, etc. TW surely ain't doing much with the opps (last game not withstanding). Both WRs need to get stronger.
