It's no wonder our RBs can't do anything.

Actually as regards run blocking I think the power and strength are there; I am leaning more towards the scheme NOT fitting the abilities of the players

I dont think theres an option there. Committed to a slant.

The point here is we cant block. Could zeke break it back...maybe....but he shouldnt have to. Its a pathetic display of run blocking. We get blocked backward when detroit makes a bubble 5+ yards beyond the line of scrimmage. One play lets the rb get momentum and score a td. The other creates a brickwall at handoff for three yards.
But people think they are so smart, clever, and funny blaming rbs.

I've been saying it for years, the current and previous Oline coaches absolutely SUCK and have failed miserably to better instruct, teach and develop a better run and pass blocking Oline. THAT has been one of the team's biggest issues hurting this team from being able to beat the better teams.

Jerry has failed at hiring a much better Oline coach for years now. The offense goes according to how your Oline performs. Period. Football 101.

Fix the Oline (and coach), and everyone will see this offense perform better.

This doesn't exempt the RBs at all. Zeke is washed for sure, Deuce isn't fast enough, and Rico is decent but doesn't get the ball enough.

At some point, a good RB would something out of nothing happen.

Team got spoiled have 4-5 guys being able to block in any scheme years ago

I also agree that there's a disconnect between player strengths and coaching style

no lol. Any adequate RB needs their line to create lanes, you cant expect them to consistently make two or three defenders miss.

Theres nothing about this team that gets a pass...maybe kicker and punter. There ars plenty of rb threads for you to participate in.

Im trying my best to focus on o line and actualy did some work to make my case.

If you dont start in the trenches, the rb makes little if any impact.

Look at the original post again. If you even did to begin with. You dont see any difference.?

It was very difucult to even get that. Youtube tv darkens and covers the screen when you pause. Had to take the photos on the fly.

So....you object to me showing physical evidence of poor blocking....based on 2 seconds of elapsed time? That what i am showing you is irrelevent.

I think the OL is fine, just a bad scheme and lack of motivation. RBs I agree, which is part of the OLs lack of motivation.

Remember when Nate said about the OL when he played there....Something like we were just a bunch of average guys that became pro bowlers when Emmitt showed up.
