It seems that Dallas takes target practice on its own feet at times. It appears that we are going with a zone blocking scheme when arguably most of the upper tier offensive guards are better suited to a power blocking scheme. Guys like Warmack, Warford and even Fluker, (if moved inside) are not well suited to play a zone blocking scheme. Granted Cooper is a player who would be highly coveted as a ZBS player, but he would probably fit in equally well for a power blocking scheme, especially at center. Are we shooting ourself in the foot here?

Richardson it is!

There will be good zone blocking options in round 3 of the draft so, unless it is Cooper at 18, expect the Cowboys to go defense the first two rounds. :p:

Richardson is leaving the top 10 IMO. I know for sure he's not passing the Panthers.

To the OP, this is what happens when you have a mgmt that never looks past the here and now.

You don't know anything for sure. Especially not that

I can say without any doubt I have no idea what position Jerry will draft first, let alone what player. I just hope he doesn't trade down.

Cooper has better mobility than Warmack but Warmack still has the feet to be a ZBS guy. Kiper has Long and Pugh higher than Warford.

1. Warmack - either
2. Cooper - either
3. Fluker - power
4. Watson - either
5. Long - ZBS
6. Pugh - ZBS
7. Armstead - either
8. Warford - Power

very true except we could take something crazy like a RB in round 2.

There is never a good time to switch to the zone blocking scheme. It goes against everything that I want in a oline.
