I have read the post and watched the Dead skins/Giants game :bang2:and I have a question for you? The Dead skins look like they will take to the middle of the season before they get their new offense and defense down. The Giants looked average on defense and Eli looked like a Deer in a headlight when pressure was applied (Eli of old). Does it look like Dallas could win all there games in the Division? The first three games look tough for the Boys but should get reasonable towards the middle of the season.

I know it is early with the first game on Sunday, but do the Boys look like they have the GAS to finish 16 games and go into the playoffs like the Giants did last year?

The last rambling question. The passing game looks to be iffy to carry the offense for 16 games. Do you think that the running game can carry the offense if necessary?:pc:

Let's see how crisp and competently we play ourselves this Sunday before becoming intoxicatingly smug or confident about owning the division. Last year we were regular season hot shots only to fade yet again in December and hastily leave the playoffs.

The first couple of games in regular season are usually still works in progress for most teams.

Washington is a team with a backup QB as their starter, a raw rookie head coach, an owner that still can't grasp how to manage a team and a lot of injuries... and it showed. They will have a tough year.

The Giants looked really good that first quarter. And after, they had some good plays. But Eli looks exactly how "regular season Eli" looked. But they have a coach, they have a defense, they have a running attack. they will be ok and still tough to beat. I wouldn't get carried away with the first game of the season where it is hard to gameplan.

I don't believe at all that this will be a run-away division. We haven't seen any of what we are bringing to the table. I wait until after week 2, and teams settle down and show more of what they are, before trying to figure out how things look.

Plax sure doesnt help Eli out as often as he can. He quits on routes, gets alligator arms, won't jump, etc. Eli almost threw a pic when Plax was double covered.....but the defender merely tipped the ball instead. Had Plax kept running on the play, the ball would have landed in his hands and he would have most likely outran the coverage and scored. Instead the minute the ball passes him, he pulls up and gives Eli a look of disgust......

too early in the season. we've got to see how our own Boyz produce in Cleveland this Sunday. Washington definately has enough problems to be bottom feeders, but NY and Philly are still formidable foes.

Umm the giants looked very good to me.

If our defense played the way there's did last night we would win a lot of games.

The giants are going to go streaking to a fast start. They are one tough team.

Why are we writing both of these teams entire seasons after 1 game??????????

Teams are allowed to improve. Its not against the law or anything.

Just a tad.

The Giants are in 1st place in the division.
The Giants winning streak is up to what now? 5 in a row and they had won 10 in a row on the road?
Dallas hasnt won a playoff game in 12 years.
Dallas and this NEW team has lost their last 2 playoff games

In Summary.

Dallas only OWNS the players on the team. Nothing more.

Dallas Cowboys - what are you going to do about it?

New Year, Dallas has to go out and earn the division and I don't think it will be easy and I would not put too much into how either Washington or New York do this year based on 1 game. As for the running game I think Garrett will attempt to be more active in the running game it will help especially late in the season when conditions could have negative effects on the passing game.

I don't put much stock in the first two weeks of the season. It would be nice to win them simply for the W's, but lots of teams are running on emotion. Week three, I look for teams to settle down and you can start to see them for what they are. I honestly wouldn't worry if NY started 2-0 and we started 0-2. Unhappy, sure.. worry, no.

No, they don't own anything. It's the opening weekend. Long way to go before they own a thing.

Dallas Owns the divsion until someone takes the crown from us.

We are the defending NFC East Champions. And we are the division winners until someone else takes it from us.

Our owange of the division was never in question to begin with

Agreed Theebs. I thought the G defense looked pretty good myself. They should play Tuck more often. That dude is quick off the ball. The secondary is right where it left off last year. JMO, of course.

Did you know that no word rhymes with "owange"??

Seriously, the term owned is that we are heads and shoulders better than anyone else out there. The way you defend it, the NY Giants own the rest of the league.
