Dak is developing. You see him looking deeper for targets first and working back to the shorter routes. Not all the time but you see him doing that. Not only that he is connecting on better passes, the back shoulder face to Gallup against Jacksonville was beautiful. He still has a ways to go but it's promising. Hopefully he continues to improve especially with Cooper on board now.

This won’t get a lot of likes around here. Dak is supposed to be the worst starter in the league with all the plays he leaves on the field. No way he’s improving...

And Cooper won’t help. He’ll get open but Dak won’t see him.

Of course this is not how I feel because I watch the games. Dak seems to be getting better as the receiving corps gets settled and he can more anticipate where folks will be on any given play. It’s only natural to improve once the lineup gets cemented. By year’s end, I think we all will see a marked improvement.

Being around .500 at the mid year mark is about what you’d expect with all the losses we’ve had in the receiving corps and all the changes with the staff. 5-3 would have been much nicer but we’re still in striking distance.

I don't know what we have in Dak yet because he's been so up and down past year but I do know no young QB can be successful with these receivers and these coaches.

Troy was a number one pick overall and he sucked his first few years. It wasn't until the talent around him got better and more importantly a better coach who tailored the scheme around Troy's strength, he started to play much better. You typically want to have an established vet receiving corp to helps bring along a young QB. They should make the QB look better. Not the other way around.

Goff has Woods, Cupp and McVay. Wentz has Ertz, Jeffereys and Perderson. Dak has Hurns, Beasley and JG.
How would Goff look in Dallas? Well I already know. Just go back and look at how bad he played when Fisher was his HC.

Do you have the under/over 40% pressure info for this season?

It takes time for QBs to come along. I recall Romo first 5 to 6 years in the league. He was making bad reads, missing open players, holding on to the ball too long etc. If we give up on Dak a good qb minded HC will pick him up place him in a good system and win with him.

Prescott's been in the top 10 in air yards per completion 3 of the past 4 weeks, and ranks 8th in percentage of attempts that were 20+ yards over the last four weeks. His YPA ranks 12th.

He ranks 20th in attempts at a shade under 30 per game, but that's actually good thing. Teams that throw the ball 30+ times in a game are 62-86-4 this year.

It's weird because the Jags game was over 40% and the Texans game was under. I don't know how much of that is PFF being wrong (they credited Hou with 0 QB hits), how much is Dak adjusting, and how much is statistical anomaly. The Jags game was like last year vs. the Rams where there were a ton of 2nd-half pressures after Dak had done most of his damage in the 1st half.

Once we're 8 games in, I'll compare the last three seasons.
