Dallas Ranks 31st In Offseason Team Resources

Based on cap space and draft capital:

Yeah, I get that the 'Boys can free up tons of cap space with restructures. First, we all know there's a difference between can and will.

Second, it's not as if such maneuvers are unavailable to the 30 teams ranked ahead of the Cowboys.
The only thing we really lack is day 2 picks. We have plenty of day picks to make veteran trades, which is what most vet players go for. If they want to be aggressive, there only hinderance is a lack of day 2 picks. And that is more of a hindrance to long term team building than it is to aggressive player acquisition

Dak will be in his rocking chair, 85 years old and still receiving paychecks from Jerry.

This golden goose will be getting squeezed to death long before then.

Some of that is true and especially the number of top 150 picks is very poor/ The cap stuff is not at all accurate because some teams are built to run on restructures and Dallas is one of those teams. They are literally built into the contract for that purpose.

Does that mean Dallas is hitting 100M cap space. Absolutely not but The are going to clear a ton of cap space and have room to sign guys.
Signings that generally are not expensive year 1 anyway.
If would be pretty shocking if Dallas wasn't more active in FA than usual and certainly so if they weren't in the top 25 FA spend teams.

JUST Dak and CeeDee free up 40M which puts Dalals pretty much even with Philly tied for 18th most cap.
Philly won't move much as they already did all the cap shove in advance. but other teams of course will come up.

Dallas will probably get to about 25M in cap space total. Then work down to about 5M.

That's the line you're going to get after they resign Pickens and Clark. We got two of the best free agents in the entire class, blah blah blah.
Clark isn't as FA. He has an 11 million roster bonus due that will be flipped to standard bonus at a minimum if not just totally restructuring his deal to even reduce his 8M base.

But yea Pickens money is very real. Which is why if someone offers you a 1st this year plus a 3rd next you probably take it.

How in the world did the Patriots rank 8th?

I know it helps to have your QB on a rookie contract but they get the 2nd to last pick in each round of the draft due to being in the Super Bowl and they are ranked 13th in draft resources?

Does the extra 4th round pick and three 6th round picks make that much of a difference?

30M over cap

Néed 15M for the draft

JWill needs paid 8M?

GP tag 28M?

25M for 2027 cap rollover

That’s 100M+
Is that what it's at now with the increase in money the cap is supposed to get??

25 for cap rollover in 27??

They never spend down to zero.

Always rollover 20M+
