Dallas - SD early week pre-game comments, thoughts?

First, we take things in steps, FA, draft, OTA's, minicamps, start of TC. Then last night Hall of Fame game.
Next up...our 1st pre-season game. FINALLY!!!!

No surprise Romo will not play. I am fine with this. As it gives Weeden, the new backup QB the "process" of starting and getting much needed playing time. I am anxious to see him play.
We get to see the OL for real, though for a short time most likely.
I am also anxious to see all the new WR's in action. And somewhat of a simulation, of a new and improved running game.

But all eyes more than not will be on the defense. Many new players, many returning or coming off injuries. Many battles for starting positions. I really don't know what to expect. And with everything being vanilla type schemes, this will still be what is most interesting.

I do expect mental mistakes and penalties. many young and new players, there is bound to be. How many will be watching Rolando McClain, and how much will he play.

Thursday night can't get here quick enough, as we say about each step leading up to the regular season opener.

I want too see Rolando but will he play since his hammy got tightened up yesterday is the question. I really hope so, he was kept out for precautionary reasons maybe too be able too play Thursday.

I did not hear about his hammy. I bet he will be very limited or wouldn't surprise me, even if he practices he still may be held out.

I know to me, this is almost a little surreal. We have been waiting on football and it finally is getting real again.

You know what, I don't care if anyone else likes Jerry, Jason, or Tony...they are back now. And a journey starts again!

About the only thing I plan to pay serious attention to is the DL play, in particular the reserves. It would be huge if they make a good impression. Other than that, pray for no major injuries.

I definitely don't care what the score will be, but will be checking out the secondary and LB groups
