Skandor Akbar and his Camel Clutch!

Did Akbar do the camel clutch or was that started by the Iron Shiek? I never saw Akbar wrestle to much.

Yep, it was Akbar's finishing move. From what I just read, it was originally created by Gory Guerrero and named "La de a Caballo" (ie. On horse back). It was then picked up by the Iron Shiek and he renamed the Camel Clutch.

Akbar also used it by the same name.

Thank you for that nugget of camel clutch wisdom. I learned something new today.

Well done. :)

My Dad knew Bronko Lubich when I was a kid. We went several times, met the wrestlers. Wahoo McDaniall was my favorite.
