Dallas still ranked 22nd in total Defense but in 08 were

Ranked 8th overall? Man thats a big drop off, what do you think has caused the low ranking so far and do you guys think the Boys will remain close to the bottom of the league in total defense by the years end, or do you think they will break the top 10 mark?

The first two games of the season were poor for us, since then the defense has been much better. Even though the overall yardage total allowed havent been great, a chuck of those yards the past a couple of games came in garbage time when the game was clearly over. We pretty much shut Denver and KC down too, save for an end of the game TD drive each week.

The sad thing is that Dallas had a weak first half schedule and only ranks 22nd in defense...would have won two more games with better defense -- opportunity wasted. .

We'd have won both of those games we lost had Romo even played "average". Those two losses were arguably two of Romo's worst games of his career.

The defense deserves some criticism (espcially for the pass defense vs NYG) but they definitely played well enough to win vs Denver.

Defensive ratings are decieving at times. for example last weeks game between san fransico and indianapolis. The 49ers defense did a great job stopping the colts in key situations and not letting them score. But, in saying that peyton manning threw for 347 yards no TD's. This would have lowered there defensive rating even though it was a good defensive showing for the 49ers.
