I think there are many ways to win a SB. It takes an above average team, some luck (low injuries or timely injuries to an opponent) at least “fair” officiating and good coaching.

We have had some teams that could have very easily won a SB since 1995 but were derailed by poor officiating and/or poor coaching.

Only 1 is necessary. A true GM with a plan is what it takes. I will not accept that Hurts is a transcending QB. The Eagles know his limitations and they adjust their plans accordingly.

How is it many think Milton can develop, but Hurts, only 15 months older, can’t develop? He has more experience, is mobile, and seems fairly athletic. Why is it assumed he’s reached his peak? He’s not even in his prime years for an NFL quarterback. I understand Cowboys fans, as well as Commanders and Giants fans, are praying he’s reached his peak. What if he hasn’t?

3. An Offensive-Minded Head Coach – One who can actually develop an offense tailored to his QB's strengths, not force square pegs into round holes. Scheme matters—and it’s past time Dallas caught up.

Until these three things change, the Cowboys are just spinning their wheels in January.

The offense in my opinion has not been the issue. Stopping the run on defense seems to be the biggest issue in my opinion.

Seems to me like both offense and defense are important to being assured of bigtime success. In any case, let's see where this current state of our team takes us. Our FO will only do what pleases them, in all likelihood. They wield the power to do as they prefer, after all is said and done. They usually lean to serving the offense more than the defense, although this year they did both.

Good luck finding a true GM with Jerry refusing to hire a GM and good luck finding a transcending QB because they don’t come around often. The Cowboys have only had a couple of them in their entire history and they were blessed with amazing teams that had no holes.

I did not forget that and I absolutely give Jerry credit for hiring Jimmy and supporting him.
However I think its painfully obvious that Jerry is in over his head as a GM.
The poor results from the last 29 years bear that out.

1. They need a front office that has the desire to go after championships rather than just hanging around the rim. Philly likes to build rosters with a desire to win super bowls. Jerry just wants to stay competitive enough to keep butts in seats. The difference in roster building philosophies between both franchises is as wide as the Grand Canyon.
2. Maybe Milton can be developed into a dual threat, but they can't leave him on the bench to rot like they did to Lance. I'm not endorsing Milton in any way, just pointing out they have something they might be able to use in ways that Dak isn't going to be able to be used.
3. They need an innovative young mind, someone with new ideas. MM was a dinosaur with an outdated offense, and at times it looked like he wasn't really interested getting the O to improve. Guess we'll see what Schotty can provide.

Jerry and family are content with "good enough" because it generates them the most money.
