in the NFL, if the Bengals lose tonight.

They will be tied with the Eagles and Chargers. Seattle will have an opportunity to join the group tomorrow night with a win against the Skins. If so, that means the winner of the game next week will at worst be tied with the Eagles for the best record in the NFC, and at best, have the best record in the NFC at 5-1. I left the Chargers of the 2nd part only because they are in the AFC, and their record has no bearing on us or home field advantage in the post season.

I would like to correct myself, Seattle had a bye last week so they can be no better than 3-1 after tomorrow......so Dallas and Philly are tops in the NFC after this week. The Giants are 3-2. So much for a weak and pathetic NFC East.....it looks like the NFC Beast is coming back ladies and gents.

yes I said home field advantage, every game is a step towards achieving that goal.

Giants and Eagles both have the Seahawks coming up later in the season.

Good luck with that.

I don't know if you remember but the Seahawks talked a lot after our last trip up there. Said they knew the Cowboys would fold if they got hit in the mouth. I believe that was an Earl Thomas quote.

Make that bulletin board material this week.

Keep this up and we'l be talk about 1st round bye at some point....

I'd have bet the mortgage we would not be in this position before the season started. Man,what a sweet surprise. We will find out just how real we are over the next 5-6 weeks. Lets hope this feeling does not fade away like a mist in the mountains.

Who'd have thunk two NFCE teams would be in this category a third of he way into the season? With a third division team also above 500.

This is why you actually have to wait and see in today's NFL.

Your question made me want to repost this one, hehe.

Was That pic literally from today? If so....................Bwahahahahahahahahahah!

I've been impressed with how we've won our games, but I still think it's too early to call us a "different team." The combined record of the teams we've beaten is 7-12. We still play the defending champion Seahawks, the 4-1 Eagles twice, the surging Giants twice, the 3-1 Cardinals, the Bears and the Colts. If we can win even half of those 8 games, I'd be impressed. (Then we'd have to win 2 out of 3 against the Commanders twice and the Jaguars to have 10 wins and likely make the playoffs.)
