What about the girl who purposely baited Hardy into it because she went over there "to get her rent paid" (I.e. Exploit Hardy for money)? Not sure why she is getting a free pass, she was probably only gold-digging him all along. I don't mean to defend a guy with such obviously poor judgement (in the type of women he associated with) but pro athletes lacking in discernment are like bulls led to slaughter these days as women eat them alive and take advantage of them horribly. There was a story in the paper a while back about an nba bball player who was a star, signed a big contract, played it out and eventually retired. One of his baby-mamas flipped out when he stopped paying her $10,000 PER MONTH in child support because he could no longer afford it. She was suing him and refused to take a penny less. I would guess she didn't spend a dime of it actually on the child. She was noted for living quite lavishly. Sadly, this is the norm and I'm not saying anyone deserves violence or anything like that but these guys are being taken advantage of too and no one cares about them. I actually feel sorry for a lot of them, some are naive and get duped.
Personally, I think there should be some laws passed to protect pro athletes from these predators, either disconnecting the monthly payments from a players salary or mandating any amount over say 2000 per month will be deposited direct into a 529 that neither parent can touch, only the child when they are old enough.
Domestic violence is terrible but we only hear one side of everything these days. In a lot of cases, the players are victims too

Hardy has all the charges dropped, misses 19 games and is still considered a pariah. I have long since stopped praying to the football gods for justice but a little karma would be nice.
