Going into the 1999 matchup, Dallas was a perfect 7-0 since their series began with New England in 1971.

They've lost 5 straight since, once against Bledsoe in '99 and all 4 of Brady's starts in '03 (BP was the coach), '07, '11, and '15.

Series is now 7-5 in favor of Dallas. Talk about a streaky series.

More unusual than that, IMO, is the fact that this will be the FIFTH TIME they've gone up against Brady -- in a series that's once every 4 years. Pretty damn impressive longevity
by #12, even though I'm not fond of the guy. Brady has essentially amassed two HOF careers -- his first 10 seasons, and his second 10. Amazing.

Remember, the Patriots were really dreadful before Belechick and Brady arrived. IMO, When Brady retires, Belechick is going to hang 'em up at the same time and the Patriots will be dreadful again.

Since Bill's strategy on defense is generally to take away your best player, you would think he will focus on one or both wideouts at this point. But my money is on the Pats defense going after Dak. Pressuring Dak is what I think they will be their strategy. Just this week Brady basically put the onus on his defense by labeling them the strength of the team publicly. I hope the Cowboys focus on protection in practice because their defense is thinking they have to win this.

Umm no they were not.

They have been a very good organization since the Day Bill Parcells took the job there in 1993

Sunday is the day Dallas takes this series back over and go on their own 5 game win streak.
It will be the downfall of Cry Brady and the Cheater.

From 1976 to 1999 the Patriots had 15 winning seasons, 2 8-8 seasons, and 7 losing seasons. The had 3 really bad records during that period.
They made the playoffs 9 times with a record of 6-9 including 2 SB losses. Nothing special but not Cleveland Browns dreadful.

I wonder how often this sentiment is posted by opposing fans of the Patriots from week to week.

The Patriots were basically the Browns or Bengals before Belichick, outside of a short stint with Parcells.

I agree, I expect them to crowd the LOS and I expect a lot of blitzes. They will try not to let EE run free and they will not let Dak have any time back there. Dak will have to decipher whos coming and throw to the hot read. Dak will have to be careful though because when he goes to the hot read there will be someone there in that throwing lane. Dak HAS to be on his game. BB is a freaking guiness

they have been a good to great organization since the day Parcells walked through the doors and rebuilt the damn place.

Before Belicheat and Brady the Patriots were equal to the Eagles franchise, sans the Eagles finally winning a Super Bowl recently.
