Sorry to create individual threads on these drives, but it's easier for me to take breaks between them this way in order to try to thoroughly examine each play.

First and 10: Watt jolted Collins then went around him to grab Pollard low while Fleming's cut off/chop block didn't take down the DT who finished off Pollard high for no gain.

Second and 10: Quick pass to Cobb, who settled about 5 yards in the middle of the field and immediately turned upfield for 4 more. It was a good thing it was a quick throw because Fleming's man had jumped inside of him. The rest of the pass blocking looked solid.

Third and 1: Pollard runs between right guard and right tackle for 5 yards. Good job by Collins keeping a linebacker pinned to his outside and Sua'Filo for essentially knocking two defenders to the ground to create the hole with help from Olawale. Pollard did a good job of hesitating to let the blocks develop before spotting the hole and getting through it.

First and goal: Pollard starts to his left and is immediately hit by Watt for a 3-yard loss. Watt went around Williams, who was moving to his left on the play while Watt just essentially dodged his block attempt, and Frederick wasn't able to cut him off.

Second and goal: Prescott throws one away after the initial protection was good, but either no one was open or he didn't pull the trigger. He felt phantom pressure as the DE tried to work back inside on Fleming and ended up spinning out of the pocket and into the path of the DE who Fleming had sealed to the outside. On second look at the receivers, he might have had Pollard initially in the flat, but it was a little risky, so the throwaway wasn't a bad thing.

Third and goal: TD pass to Michael Gallup. Prescott was hit fairly quickly by Fleming's man, who beat him around the corner, but Prescott shook him off, moved out to his left, which was now open and threw the ball on the move. Watts was also breaking through the double-team by Collins and Su'a-Filo. Gallup did a good job of working back to the ball and to the middle to give Prescott a target on a well-throw pass.

The extra point by Maher was pretty much down the middle.

What I felt on the throwaway play, as well as the TD pass. Dak showed some poise, as he did late last year. Earlier in the year he would have been sacked.
But this time he had some pocket awareness, and made two very good decisions. Escape and throw the ball away. Except and instead of running, he stopped and threw a great pass for a TD.

Maybe this is Dak, and he has learned more, and maybe that comes from Kitna helping, or most likely both. Anyway it was a great sign.

Call me when you get to Dallas vs Houston ninetieth offensive drive.

I quit when it was no longer first team vs. first team. Although I'm evaluating the rest of the game (and might do position-by-position analysis thread), it takes too much effort to breakdown each drive.

Why are you doing this?
