They aren’t terrible. They aren’t great but they have playmakers.

McLaurin, Samuel and Dotson is likely the best trio of receivers we see outside of Chase, Higgins and Boyd. Thomas and Gibson are no slouches either.

This just feels like the classic 17-17 game late that Wentz hits Dotson deep for a win

You're not getting what I'm saying. It's not a cause and effect situation, more of a tendency.

I see. Far too often I see fans equate their overconfidence with the team and read into it as having been the team's overconfidence when it was more projection than anything. Many times the loss had nothing to do with overconfidence and everything to do with countless other concerns.

I don't like the overconfidence people are feeling about this game. That often seems to bite us in the ***.

After the season opener many fans on here were so down on the team they were predicting we would end up with a top 10 pick and now after two straight wins some are back to talking Super Bowl. Lol All of a sudden Cooper Rush is the next Tom Brady and our defense is on par with the 85 Bears. The last time fans got overconfident facing Washington was back in 2014 when Washington was down to their third QB Colt McCoy. There was even an over and under thread predicting how many sacks we would get against McCoy. He ended up having a career day beating the Cowboys. If the Cowboys do lose today they’ll be on track for 2-4 because good luck beating the Rams and Philly on the road. We’re going to need this win today!

They’re not terrible. They beat Jacksonville in the opener and Jacksonville has won two straight games since. They put up more points than the Cowboys have this season and they held Philly’s number one ranked offense scoreless in the second half last week. I really don’t know why some fans are so overconfident about this game when our only two wins went down to the final series in the fourth quarter against a couple of mediocre teams. I don’t want to hear that Cincinnati went to the Super Bowl last season they haven’t been very good this season. Carson Wentz has beaten the Cowboys before. We better show up today or fans will be back to throwing in the towel on this season.

Wouldn’t shock me in the least. Lol It’s like some of you don’t even follow this team. I’m not saying we’re going to lose today but we are playing with a backup QB who’s been solid but isn’t putting up big numbers and we haven’t been scoring many TDs. We’ve been relying on our kicker who could go south at any moment. Our only two wins this season went down to the final series in the fourth quarter. We had to play come back against the Giants last week. If we can’t run the ball or our defense has a tough day we could be in some real trouble. I learned a long time ago that you don’t chalk up any wins for the Cowboys. Some of you should’ve learned that last year after the Denver debacle. Anytime the Cowboys get on a roll you have to brace yourself. It doesn’t take much success for them to become complacent.

Funny how fans seem to think that their overconfidence affects the outcome of the game. I don't imagine the players or coaches are making this mistake.

It's happened too many times just to dismiss it. It's a real thing.

Wentz went for over 300 in his first two games. Gipson is good too. This will be close.

I don't get excited playing the Commanders. They are a brand new franchise as far as I'm concerned.
The rivalry was against the Red skins .

....we always play down to the competition and make it a closer game than it should be.

But then again. ...the NFL makes sure with all the penalties....games are close.
