Dallas/Wash and NY/Phil starting time

Don’t screw us nfl. We need the rest. Brady and bucs will be resting.
Why would they have the Eagles play first lol? Especially in a NFC East matchup? Yeah good luck with that one. Cowboys aren't resting and they shouldn't. THey rested all preseason to get their *** whooped against the Buccs first game of the season with Dak having the worst game of his career. Naw......no resting.

Yeah. Unfortunately, that's not how it works.

The NFL will want to have the best ratings. That means that either the Eagles and Cowboys will play at the same time. Or, we will play first with the Eagles playing after. That way, the game will still be meaningful.

All 16 NFL games will be played on Sunday, January 8th
No Thursday night game.
No games on Saturday.
No Monday night game.

I’ve never seen a Saturday NFL game the final week of the season. It would give a playoff team playing on a Saturday an extra day of rest heading into the playoffs. That would be an unfair advantage over teams that are having to play on Sunday.

We played on Saturday week 18 last year. That was the first year they had done it, pretty sure.

That's not entirely accurate.
I stand corrected about last season.
Looked at this season's week 18 schedule...all the games are still listed for Sunday, with kickoffs TBD.

I suppose at the conclusion of tonight's Steelers-Ravens game, the league will choose two games to flex to Saturday afternoon/night.

They may not schedule playoff teams for Saturday.

Then you obviously didn't watch last season's Cowboys Week 18 finale in Philly.

Didn’t know that was a Saturday. Now that I’ve looked it up it was a Saturday night game.

I watched but forgot it was a Saturday night. First time I can remember them playing a Saturday night game the final week of the season.

They're gonna take every opportunity they can for a primetime game, its just so much more money. That's why there's a monday night playoff game now.

That’s going to feel strange.

A lot of bad info on this thread. There are two Saturday games 4:30 and 8:15 EST, normal slate of Sunday games including SNF at 8:15 EST but no Monday night game. Very likely to see Jacksonville vs Tennessee or maybe GB vs Detroit on Sunday night.

Anything scenario involving multiple games/teams - they will try to schedule them at the same time. SNF will probably be Jacksonville/Tennessee because it's the easiest "Win and You're In" game

Detroit GB could be the SNF game as well. Plus better ratings.
