Does anyone actually think we won't get the #1 pick from Miami? Think about it for a moment. BP lives by this unwritten code of ethics that you don't go after a former teams players. He refused to bring in Vinaterri (sp?), after he left NE, because of his former relationship with Bellicheat. Also, he "chastised" Sean Payton publicly for attempting to sign Dallas' free agents and players. BP has often talked about the unwritten code, and I feel that this code also extends to front office personnel as well. The fact that JJ is being so accommodating in BP's efforts to "take" most of our scouting department to Miami, tells me that there must be an agreement between the two. If not, then BP would lose considerable face among his peers for not living up to the code that he has preached for coaches to honor. I've watched/listened to BP for many years now and one thing that I always respected about him is that he's not a liar or a hypocrite. I can't remember any interview in which he's told one lie. If he's asked a question that he doesn't want to answer truthfully, he usually just finessed his way around it w/o lying. This shows me he's a man of integrity that lives by a certain standard. The only way BP can come out of this "raiding" of our front office, with his name and reputation intact, is to show his peers that this was done with JJ's approval by trading away the #1 pick to Dallas. JMO, what do you guys/gals think?
