If they somehow split these next two games, Jerry not trading for some help is downright criminal. I do think he's setting Mike up to fail so he can fire him and make a splash hire.

I don't know if he would deliberately waste an entire year of his life knowing the Cowboys wouldn't be competitive. However, I think he also feels they've provided Mike with a pretty talented team, have some big contracts to pay out and it was time Mike showed he could win with what he had.

I said before the season started that Dallas would win some ugly games. Well this week I have us winning 19-17.
Yeah I don't think you can add descriptive terms a win is a win a loss is a loss because you're going to do this wouldn't winning 34-32 also be ugly because maybe your offense look good but your defense is played like garbage...

so how is that any different winning A 2 point game that was more exciting for fans to watch because there's more scoring you know that's what the league wants parity but winning 19-17 isn't that the same thing I don't get it unless you're winning every game by three times the spread it's the same it all falls within that what 7 points or less spread that most of the time in the NFL that's what it is I mean sometimes it might be 10 or 11 but winning a game by under 7 points is pretty typical for the NFL in most games whether it's high scoring or low scoring to me it's all the same so why put a label on it wins a win a loss of loss at the end of the year you got to hope that you can battle the attrition of injuries and illnesses from your players and HOPE by the time you get into or near the playoffs you are hitting your stride.

Isn't there an old saying "it's not how you start it's how you finish" it I've seen that plenty of times in sports or the unthinkable happens you know like the New York Giants twice looking like the weakest team going into the playoffs as a wild card somehow win 2 Super Bowls against what was looked at as one of the best teams in the last 20 years....

We have seen this right I mean last year it was Green Bay and the Rams right they didn't look like they were gonna make the playoffs they were talking about bad quarterbacks and what are they going to do in the draft in advance turned around I seen it happen with the Jaguars was it 2022 they started off like three and six or something end up making the playoffs then they go to the second round of the playoffs? We started three and five in 2018 do i need to remind people that i know it seems bleak but we're hovering around 500 the league looks a little weak right now this is a good season if you want to pick one to start slow and trying to find your way as long as you finish strong it won't matter I mean we have two wild card games now and 17 games...

So yes I'll take these type of wins vs losses...

i don't have confidence they'll win this game, but i do have a feeling they will. and it's kind of funny how people (not you, just in general) don't like stomping teams, or ugly grind out games. i wonder what the expectations are.

I feel ya. There is no reason to have any confidence after the last 3 games and add the injury situation; However, this is the kind of game where the team comes out surprisingly crisp and plays way above their talent level....or, of course we could get curb-stomped.

A win is a win, I do not care how pretty or how ugly.
The NFL needs ratings. I would not be surprised if we start getting some help from the Ref's. The last thing the NFL need is to be Cowboys eliminated early from the playoffs.

At this point, winning is winning. Bunch of issues already happening and lots of injuries too, so yeah. However, i get your point, some teams win a lot of games playing ugly and then on playoff time they get beat badly.

An ugly win is struggling to beat a bad/mediocre team. Last week was an ugly win. A one point win over the Steelers would be a good win.

I'm finding it difficult to agree with you but I think I do.

There is such a thing as ugly win...just as there is such a thing as a glorious win.

Like heaven and hell...if you believe in one the other is demanded.
