* Assumption - QB's go 1&2
* Assumption - Ramsey goes 3 to SD or a trade up
* Assumption - Titans want Tunsil and would trade the 2 - 2nds from the Rams to move up to 4.

Dallas trades down to 15 with Tennessee. Dallas gives up 4 and Tennessee gives 15,43, and 45.

15) Shaq Lawson or Sheldon Rankins DE/DT
34) Derrick Henry -RB
43) Andrew Billings or Kenny Clark -DT
45) Karl Joseph -S
67) Carl Nassib -DE
98) Dak Prescott or Cardale Jones - QB
Comp) Jakeem Grant -- ST

I am guessing that Bosa and Buckner are gone, and that one of Lawson or Rankins will still be there.
Derrick Henry behind Dallas line will be a bruiser for 5 years.
Need the best DT left in a draft heavy with DT.
Dallas needs a second starter at S.
Dallas apparently can't have enough DE's, as they keep getting suspended.
Dallas needs a QB project and in the 4th round -- who knows he might develop.
-Dallas surprises everyone but finally gets a waterbug returner and a back up for Beasley.

6th round needs to be pet cats that Dallas likes. I think they should look at LaQuan McGown as a TE/FB for short yardage.

Defense solidified.
Backup/Developmental QB taken.
Power Running back that would still allow for Morris and DMC to have a role - check.
Using the draft strengths (DT) to your advantage -- check.
Special Teams returner - check.
Possible 4 starters plus your special teams guy.

What do you think?

One of the best drafts I've seen. We need a WR in there somewhere however.

I figured Dallas has 4 -6th rounders to get a WR -- provided you don't consider Jakeem Grant to be used as one at least some of the time. I guess you could drop Nassib in the 3rd and pick the best WR available there if you got Lawson instead of Rankins in 1. I just think that Dallas needs more DL prospects.

QB choices are dreadful.

I also don't think Billings slips to 43.

Outside of the QB, I'd be happy.

Eh as far as QB goes -- who else is available in the 4th who has the arm to be a NFL QB. I doubt either of these have the head, but they at least have the arm.

Billings probably won't slip, but if you told me a 1T slipped to the middle of the 2nd round, I would believe it. Either way, best DT available would be my pick there.

OH, I didnsee you picked up Grant! He and DHenry are my pet cats so A+. Too bad Grant will make Beas obsolete! :)

You aren't wrong with your assessment, but I'd rather not draft a QB at all. If we take one in the 4th round (or earlier) it will give this front office the illusion that we have our next QB.

Lynch, Cook, and maybe Hackenberg all feel like guys that can be groomed. Hogan maybe? I want no part of Jones or Prescott.

I think all mock drafts should come with a final statement declaring which of the picks they think will land a four game suspension.

It would be fun!

no need for a RB at all apart from a late RD pic,no need to waste the pick.use it on a WR.

Sorry, but I have seen what Dallas does on 3rd or 4th and short. I want a Brandon Jacobs type player but with take it to the house speed.

Dallas already has TWill for another year, and others who might play out. They have there #1 and #3 receivers for quite a few years signed last year.

Henry is the icing on the cake in this mock.

Not a fan of his Hardline. Don't like his feet or out of the backfield skils. Also runs too upright for my liking which could lead to a loss of leverage despite his big stature.

Just my being picky...he will be a solid player but not spectacular in any manner.

If you think Henry will be a good 3rd and short RB in the NFL then you are wrong,he has no lateral agility and i easy to stop for NFL LBs.A good 3rd and short RB would be a guy like Zeke who has the vision and lateral quickness to make guys miss .

He was very successful picking up 3rd and shorts in the SEC . Which is just a notch below the NFL. He will also have NFL caliber lineman blocking for him.
If you haven't seen the Elliott Henry sports science video that was posted I suggest you watch it.
