Dalton is not better than Dak

Again: where do you get that from ?

And btw i dont think dalton looked bad considered this was his first game.
We got that from you saying ( a literal quote ) well we finally have a starting QB.
Not only was it a ****** offensive statement against Dak it was completely looney tunes take .

Dak is better than Dalton, but if Dak was at the helm tonight, the Cowboys would have still lost.

The problems that this team has go way beyond quarterback.

With this offensive line, any quarterback that isn’t mobile is going to get killed. It’s time to start DiNucci.

We’re all disappointed right now. No need to stir the pot.
You can ignore me and thread then. I felt pretty disappointed when these idiots said “ we finally have a starting QB ” after Dak got hurt . So go pound sand . I’m not ever letting that go, ever.

Taking an L is though.

Dak had plenty of games last year where the offense was a no show.

I bet you are shortly going to change your stance to: "OMG who cares about this year...let's just tank for Lawrence" or some other stupid stance.

Suddenly you are blaming all this elite talent that Dalton has.

If this was Dak Prescott you and the rest of your moronic ilk would be screaming about the QB.

Typical.

Well.. To be fair.. I was screaming for Lawrence before the Giants game.

My problem with Dak is he isn’t an elite difference maker and for 40 million dollars I want a QB that is electric like the guy we played tonight.

Dak needs a lot to win and with the amount of money he wants and the bad contracts we are locked into I think a big Dak contract locks us into mediocrity for a few years.

I see though that a lot of this fan base no longer cares about winning and we are no longer the Dallas Cowboys but the Fighting Dak’s for some.

Pardon me for stating the obvious but 2 specific members here and others both said they were ok with Dak being hurt because Dalton was an actual starting qb. I’d like to hear everyone’s thoughts on that.
Obvious conclusions for $500 Alex, but seriously how some of the people on here ever thought Dalton should start over Dak is beyond me!

I said Dalton and Dak would get us about the same results.

Dak doesn’t win us that game tonight.

Dak in his last 16 starts................32 pts per game

Points scored tonight....................10

You do understand that 32 and 10 are not the same, correct? So no, Dalton did not give us the same results as Dak.

CATCH17 was **’ing GIDDY when Dak went down lol.
I don't know if he was "giddy". He was anxious to see what Dalton could do. IMO with the threads I interacted with him in I didn't feel he was happy about Dak being out.

I posted some time last week that with Dak I felt this team would be 7-9 or 8-8 at best. I feel with Andy Dalton we will be 3-13 or 4-12. When Dak went down so did our season. Andy is an accurate passer but needs blocking. In tonight's game I feel we still lose with Dak and the score would have been 38-21. There were some plays that Andy couldn't get it done cuz he doesn't have the athleticism Dak does. So Andy is not the answer.

I also feel that anyone who thinks this game is going to get Dak paid is not thinking right. If this is the team we have fielded with Dak taking up 31 million of salary cap. If he takes up 40 million of salary cap then we will be fielding much worse teams for the next 4-6 years. Throwing big money at Dak is going to cause us to have less talented teams than the one we have seen this year. So paying Dak 40 million is not the answer. We're pretty much screwed by the FO inability to manage the cap and put together a respectable team. Either way we're screwed. It sucks being a Cowboys fan.

Yeah, we are screwed as far as winning anything of importance but you are wrong about Dak not getting paid.

Dak makes these games exciting, being down 21-0 at halftime is no biggie because everybody is sitting at home wondering "wow, I wonder if Dak can bring them back". Then Dak goes out and throws for 450 yards and the team loses 38-35 in the final seconds.

That sells! Jerry can sell that!

Jerry cant sell what was on the field tonight. 38-10 gets people turning the game off..................That is why Dak is going to get paid his $40 million a year he wants.

I agree he may get paid. Most likely he will get paid but that will keep us at 6-10 through 9-7 seasons while he gets 40 million a year. It may be more exciting but in the end it will have the same results of average to below average teams.

Personally I hope Dak walks and signs with another team. I love Dak and I'm a big fan of him. But the best thing for this franchise would be to stop "lucking" into these franchise QBs like Romo and Prescott. These guys are making uncompetitive teams worth watching and sometimes competitive. We lucked into Romo and then lighting struck again with Dak. What this franchise needs is about 5-7 years of poor QB play and records of 2-14-4-12. That would break Jerry and Jerry jr and some real change might happen. But we keep getting these franchise QBs that make our terrible teams look adequate and the delusions continue, both in the FO and the fanbase.

Those people are nuts.

I'm not in the Dalton > Dak camp but come on now.
He wasn't good last night. Nor, really, was anyone.

Just another reminder
  • Dak faced one pass defense similar to this one and he put up exactly the same number of yards (266) in a loss, and the team scored 17 points. That was with Martin on the line and having run KM's offense in live games. A Gallup catch in the endzone would've made it 17 last night too....fwiw.

Again, Andy is not Dak, but he is better than what he showed last night.
