if we trade down in the 1st, do you think they will use that extra pick to trade up for Dalton? (i just have that feeling we might just trade up in the 2nd round)

I hope not cuz i think it will be wasted picks when we need to draft starters that can produce this year or next year.

Maybe we draft him and then trade romo in 3 years.....idk but what do ya'll think.

I heard dalton gots a fiery attitude like Jon Kitna...

Dalton is not a bad QB but do we really need him? I cannot see him stepping in three years. That would mean Romo, Garrett, and Ryan all failed. If Romo gets traded in three years it would also mean Garrett and Ryan are no longer our coaches.

I hope not. we need help. I want us to take just one player in the draft then find BPA per our needs with the rest of our picks. I think our talk with Dalton is more to make other teams trade up into the 1st so those 1st round players fall into the 2nd. If several teams start trading up into the bottom first or top of the 2nd for QBs, then top OL, and secondary start to fall to us at 40.

I think in the second we will try to pick up more picks so we can take dalton and a need position no matter what we do in the first

But I truthfully believe dalton will go to the colts or someone early in the second and we won't have a shot

There will be a rush/panic on QB's and someone will trade up and take him in the late first-early second. We do not really need to waste picks trading up for Dalton. QB can be addressed next year as Kitna and McGee are still serviceable back-ups. We don't need to look for Romo replacement just yet.

...

No, they wont

I hope that he get's picked way before we get to even think about it.

It would be a wasted pick, and wasted roster spot.

I just don't see us getting Dalton for several reasons unrelated to how much we like him.

I hear the Bengals love him, so we would need to jump them at the very least. They could very well take him at 35 or move up to the bottom of Rd1 and grab him.

Speaking of the Bengals....I've heard rumblings that if they don't take a trade, they may "sit" on their pick and save 10-20 million by dropping down several slots before making a selection.

They like several players (which gives them flexibilty) and can just sit until they feel they have to move in and get one of them--possibly Julio or Peterson. If AJ Green is there there at #4, that could be hard to pass up though. They also actually have 3 fairly decent young receivers to work with already.

I am one of the few who thinks Mcgee will be a good backupand dont want to hinder his development. He just needs a semi decent oline to work with.our starters on o-line were average but our backups were worse and Mcgee suffered because of that .

No and we aren't trading Romo.
