He doubts his own ability to continue playing.
Including some of our FAs.Not sure this is why but ALOT of teams this year Cap situation sucks so some known names will ne available because of money reasons
Exactly...I'm not sure Quinn is going to get a whole bunch hes not good against the run. Cobb shouldnt break the bank either hes fallen off bit. Byron is going to be tough. He wants to stay but will probably depend on if he REALLY wants to stay and take a few less millionsIncluding some of our FAs.
Quinn has value. But his coming here from Miami was a discounted deal where he lowered his contract to come to Dallas.
But now he will price himself out of our cap.
Byron Jones the same way.
Randall Cobb the same.
So it cuts both ways. The thing that bugs me is we always wait to sign until the big names are signed and look for bargains.
Not exactly aggressive stuff and we clearly are rebuilding.
We will see.
The key to the future is and has been about draft capital, you have to elevate your draft stock each and every year, that's the key to success in todays fast moving, elevating contracts. Two years ago yes. What does he have left and why is he being cut? Didn’t see him play at all last year.
I agree but you can still get something out of some veterans. Look at Robert Quinn and Randall Cobb for us last year. The key to the future is and has been about draft capital, you have to elevate your draft stock each and every year, that's the key to success in todays fast moving, elevating contracts.
Keeping it young is keeping it cheap...er.
Guys like Snacks, is yesterdays half eaten bag of Cheetos..
Old rosters don't win anymore,, its a FO game.. not the negative the positive ..front office.
That's the game we have now love it or leave it,, its all about draft prep, and bringing in homerun hitters, and then you fill the
holes through FA, you do not build through FA.
His words not mine.no he doubts the pros vs cons of playing. Like many smart players are doing these days.
