Twitter: Damone Clark Relative Athletic Score

Clark was 1st team All SEC at LSU, put up huge solo tackle numbers (most projectable stat to the pros), and had a great 40 (most projectable drill). Instinct wise, he isn't the fastest to process, but he does commit and attack what he sees.

I had him as a second round talent... there is just too high of a floor there between measurables and production. He profiles pretty similarly to Packers 1st rounder and starter Quay Walker, and frankly I thought Clark was better.

We'll see how much juice he has post neck fusion, but at least pre-injury, he was the downhill physical LB fans have been wanting.

Sean Lee had a terrible 40 time but put up huge numbers of tackles also. This shows that he recognizes schemes and can sense where the ball was going to. I also believe that tackles does translate well into the pros and Sean Lee is proof of it.

Sean Lee could have been the best lb in history, if he played more than 6 games a season

This guy is even more of a freak, but is supposedly on trade block.

So RAS is very nice but actual production trumps all.

That said I trust DQ to maximize freakish athletes.

Simmons is not used properly and I don’t like the coaches in Arizona. I believe he should be used like the Cowboys play Kearse.

Sean Lee was defensive coordinator in a player’s body. The guy was a football genius when it came to processing offenses. The injuries killed a Hall of Fame career.:(

Sean Lee is up there as one of my favourite Cowboys ever and a very sad "what if". I remember his tackle for loss a few years' ago against the Eagles that basically took them out of field goal range, Flew like a missile across the field to tackle the ball carrier.

That man could have been a 1st ballot HOF if injuries hadn't hammered him.

Yes and not deliver soft ice cream cones and blizzard shakes.

I like his instincts and football IQ as well. They aren’t elite or anything… but they aren’t bad, and they should improve. Couple those with his athleticism and there’s a chance for a really good LB there.

Quinn will get the best out of him IMO.

The Cowboys need instincts and Football IQ at LB more than just raw athleticism.
