Barr has been out for three weeks now. Clark played the most snaps yet last night: 75%. Looked good to me. Will Barr take back his starting job when he's healthy? Or have we found our LB for the future?

Unless Clark makes a bunch of rookie mental mistakes. I would think so.

which is ok. Barr makes good depth once he is healthy.

I see a nice rotation for these guys, and maybe some packages with all three on the field. Clark didn't make a ton of plays yesterday, but his presence was felt. He moves around the field with the quickness of a DB. Tough because both Barr and Clarke profile as true weak side backers, but I wonder if Clark couldn't take on the strong side backer role in this scheme...especially since it's mostly done by a Safety right now anyways?

Clarke is our future LB, who is too good to give up his spot now. So the depth problem we may have when Barr returns, is a good one.
The defense is very deep across the board, other than CB, and will continue to pay off dividends as the year goes on. The loss of Lewis is an issue they should look to address. If we lose another starting CB we're in trouble.

Played one more snap than LVE....glad to see it!

Clark still looks tentative to me.

I would agree. But a different tentative than what Jaylon played like. I think he’s just feeling everything out. He also looks smaller than I thought but it could be that 33 number making him look like a tall DB.

It might be possible that the staff didn't want to take any chances with Barr to aggravate his condition, but give Clark a chance to prove himself. It's not hard to imagine that Clark is still a bit tentative to return full blast from the seriousness of his former condition. I'm hoping he'll somehow manage to get fully back to his former self and be as effective as he ever was. In the meantime, we'll have to be patient with his gradual progress and return to being the best version of himself. After all is said and done, his injury was an extremely serious one. I'm hopeful he'll be treated with reasonable caution in his goal to return to good health.

I’d like to see one of you smart guys break down his performance yesterday.

Damone wasn't supposed to play this year from what I read. Props to him and the Cowboys medical team for getting him ready. I suspect he is not quite 100% yet. When he is, look out. He was a monster at LSU.

Did you guys see the hit he put on that one guy. Awesome. This guy if he stays healthy. Is going to be right behind Micha as the best on the team by miles. And did you guys see Sam Williams? He embarrassed that OG. He attacked him so hard the guy was blown back in the air and landed 5 yards in back of the original line of scrimmage. This guy is extremely strong. He needs way more playing time. IMHO.
