McCarthy interview he responded to a question from Helman "would special teams be where he would make his start" and McCarthy said "yes that would be where he would start and it would be a natural progression" ... didn't say he WILL be there only intimated that it would be the place if he were to be rostered.

Squats over 600 lbs, runs 4.5, weighs 240, made a ton of tackles at LSU.

I hope we see #33 on special teams this Sunday.

Joseph is one of the best special teams player Dallas has. Sure he has had some penalties but he also makes plays

A guy like Gifford should be replaced

52 at the moment, Simi and Dowdle went to the IR. McKeon was called up. Basham and Washington are returning soon, but JW is already on the 53.

So we will need one more spot

Yes, just looked at this as soon as I seen the title, before I read any posts.
Roster is currently at 52.

I don't see Washington returning until after the bye week. Even though they really need a WR to be added. Only 5 with Turpin as one of them.
They have 6 LB's, and a 7th would be heavy there compared to past years. They could release Harper and hope to get him back on the PS.
Currently 9 DL, so Bashem's return is sure a probability.
They have 12 DB's, pretty heavy there also. Though Goodwin more only ST's. I still think they can get Wright to the PS.

However on Bashem and Washington, they can use that 21 day window. Don't expect either back until after the bye IMO.
So they can activate Clark. And within 3 weeks, then make another move or 2, barring injuries.

I don’t think many have worn that since Dorsett. Nate Jones is the only one I recall…..and Tony was pissed over it lol.

Totally get the interest in Clark, but why aren't we seeing questions to team about Jarbril Cox and when he will be put in on defense? He plays ST but they can't work him it at LB?

When Clark is ready I think we should just release the other linebackers and bench Parsons. Clark can play all three linebacker positions at the same time. Parsons can give him a break when needed.

Keep in mind that Clarke was a LB at LSU while Cox is at least sort of a converted DB who is coming off a blown knee. It’s possible Cox’ speed isn’t quite there yet. Doesn’t mean he is a bust.

At any rate he was a 4th round pick and my know nothing opinion is that maybe this FO as well as fans should stop counting on those to be something special.

If Damone Clark is even 75% as good as advertised this defense would be completely lights out. LB is probably our weakest position group (honestly isn't even bad. Just meh) and if Clark could take over Barr's snaps I have a feeling teams would have a little bit of a tougher time running on us.
