He could replace Joseph on Special Teams until he can join the linebackers. Get rid of the mistake and penalty machine Joseph.
So your logic says put Clark as the gunner on punts. A guy who admittedly has never even played special teams. Your perception is not at all reality.

Totally get the interest in Clark, but why aren't we seeing questions to team about Jarbril Cox and when he will be put in on defense? He plays ST but they can't work him it at LB?
While they are both LBs, I think Cox is smaller, like weakside, but Clark is a big boy, like LVE.

this week is the final week of his window, and a decision is to be made to roster him or IR him.

McCarthy interview he responded to a question from Helman "would special teams be where he would make his start" and McCarthy said "yes that would be where he would start and it would be a natural progression" ... didn't say he WILL be there only intimated that it would be the place if he were to be rostered.

Squats over 600 lbs, runs 4.5, weighs 240, made a ton of tackles at LSU.

I hope we see #33 on special teams this Sunday.

Are these numbers pre injury or after? I'm guessing pre-injury. And if so my question is where is he at physically? Maybe he needs the rest of this year to get back to these numbers

good question, not sure anybody knows when the "injury" took place. He had a herniated disc, and probably played and lifted with it while at LSU.

A full recovery from Clark would be huge. I had him as a top-50 talent, and stylistically, he is the kind of downhill thumper you want to have rostered when every other LB is a tweener safety. Sort of what we're using Barr as, but almost 10 years younger and more athletic.

I just don't have any expectations, because his injury is brutal to come back from. NFL players have very little juice to lose off their fastball.

Don't want to see 33. Give the man a linebacker number!

I don't know how well he will play in the physical side of the game, post surgery, but if you need concert tickets, or tips on how to pick up women, he's your guy:

Umm there's a reason that IR has a practice window to come off of it, you practice and see how your total body responds, not the injury itself, practicing back into game shape. let your body get sore, heal, get sore again until you fee fully ready. Its what Gallup did, yes wash could start this game but they are allowing one more game off, im sure.

they dont want what happened to say Godwin(bucs) game 1 coming back with little practice time. hurt hammy not the acl..

While based on his performance in college Damone Clark could perhaps help the Dallas defense this season, it may be best to be cautious and IR him so that he enters summer camp over a year removed from his spinal surgery. LVE will be more than likely gone so Clark would be a prime candidate to compete for the starting MLB role.
