He made his last one. I don't think holding free agent kicker tryouts the week of a divisional round playoff game is the right move.
He missed one in Washington last week so, 5 straight missed XPs.
It was funny to hear the crowd cheer the one he finally made... lol

This is where hypnotherapy can really help. You regress him back to when he was kicking great and feeling great about it. Then that hypnotherapist, also a sports psychologist, helps him to get everything off his chest. Then more hypnotherapy, boosting his confidence and feeling great about his kicking, visualizing perfect kicks over and over. Then immediately afterward, he goes onto the practice field with a trainer and just starts hitting those EPs and FGs over and over. Then his most recent memory is of nailing a ton of those in a row, and the game feels like a distant memory. Rinse and repeat, if necessary.
Don't laugh. It may sound hocus pocus, but teams do things like this successfully all the time. It works if it's a mental problem. If it's a physical problem, it won't work.

Matthew weight from chief’s practice squad is probably a better option if Maher can’t get right.

Admittedly I was one going off in the game thread that they should cut him, but really, I was just frustrated in what I was seeing. On a short week, traveling back across the country, just doesn't seem like a good time to bring in a new kicker. I know they just "kick the ball", but he knows the coaches and teammates. We just have to hope he can shake off whatever the heck that was.
... back in the day, Jimmy Johnson WOULD have cut him. Snowflakes now melt with this generation, unfortunately.

I say bring in a vet kicker this week have him compete all week, on Friday tell Maher he has one kick from 40 yards to either keep his job or be fired for the vet. He makes it he goes to San Fran. Miss he's gone.

What can we learn here? How about help the guy out by not having him kick from the left hash?

The one thing I can take away from this is....all of his misses were consistent....

Wouldn't shock me @ all the NFL conspired to mess with him.

Have never trusted the kicking ball...

And neither should you.

Honestly....why would the NFL have to put something inside the ball to begin with to track it?

Call me crazy...but last night was the leagues doing.

Couldn't have the Cowboys play a complete game....just gotta leave enough meat on the bone to create doubt.
Good job Goodell....well played.

Now go find those footballs....and inspect them for tampering.
Seriously....
