stud.

way to bounce back and seal the game...coach put him in a difficult spot...nailed it easily

i'm just thankful bill did not go for two..

thanks bill!

on that last run to set up the FG in regulation, the DB was at least 10 yards off Dez

was hoping Tony would check to that, but oh well it worked out

They should just stop punting and have bailey kick a field goal. From anywhere.

i was worried that after he missed the 53 yarder his confidence would be shaken..

not that he missed ..but losing his 30 in a row streak and all that he worked so hard for.

nope...he absolutely drilled it..

he is something else i tell ya.

I still dont understand why they put it on the left hash during regulation.

They put it on the left hash for his OT kick too.

I'm guessing Bailey likes that spot as opposed to the middle of the field or the right hash.

I'm thinking the fact that Garrett sent him in on third down for a 49 yard attempt to win it might've restored Bailey's confidence right then and there. Wouldn't be shocked if Bailey makes 30 in a row again.

I just don't understand when they get to the 35-30 why they seem to go very conservative and don't try to gain more yards.

I know Bailey's money, but can't they try to make it a bit easier on him?

Call me crazy, but I think 40 yardish FGs are easier to make than 50 yardish FGs, especially when the game is on the line.

I'm pretty sure they think they can gain yards when they run the ball. Their plan isn't to lose yards running the ball.

Can't recall exactly, but it seemed to me that they ran 2-3 plays right up the gut. Very conservative, IMO.

Murray is averaging over 5 yards per carry on the year. They are confident they can gain a few yards. It was only 2 plays since they kicked it on third down. One up the middle and one to the left. Conservative, but as I said the plan is still to gain yards.

Right. And get the ball through the uprights and get the hell out of there with a W.

It's actually a better angle for a right footed kicker. If you hit a draw, it effectively alters the angle of kick. That's why golfers that hit a draw often tee off the left side of the tee box (and golfers that hit a fade tend to tee off the right side of the tee box).

He gets paid to make that kick at the end of regulation, He was jinxed and my son and I said he would miss it...that being said I wouldn't trade him for another

Bailey is great but I can't recall many "clutch" kicks from him. It's not really his fault. I just don't remember very many games come down to a FG. I've seen him kick some 35-40 yarders for the win, but I can't recall many (or any) incidents like today where it came down to a 55 yarder for the win. Maybe someone knows a few times.
