It seems we are constantly complaining and worried about the coaches, front office, Dak, Dez, the OLine, etc.

I, for one, am moderately concerned we may have lost the advantage we had some many years in Bailey. He was absolute money for so long, but the second half of last season really scares me.

Sure, he was injured so of course that'll influence his kicking. But it was quite noticeable that his misses started to mess with his head the last 3-4 games.

Anybody else worried, or do you think he's correct everything and be Mr. Automatic again?

Sign another kicker as an undrafted free agent for insurance and let him prove he is alright. No reason to be scared. In fact, Garrett relies on him too much anyways. Maybe not having him around gets him to be a little more aggressive rather than figuring if he gets to the 35, he has three points in the bag.

I will be worried if he struggles in camp
Right now I’m not worried though
I don’t think his struggles were mental but physical
Fixing the body easier than fixing the head
Someone needs to find his old shoe and get it remodeled

Nailed it. We've lost games due to this. And my biggest fear is losing a championship game or super bowl like this if we ever get there lol

I definitely think he wasn't 100% right physically.. I have had and still have a groin issue that bothers me. It is a serious issue that I hope has fixed this off season.

Best thing for Dan Bailey was signing L.P. steps one and two will be as smooth as butter, nothing for Bailey to think about but swinging his leg. Dollar $Dan$ will be just fine.

I think he was just trying to play while being hurt. Kicking takes precision so anything that throws you off even a little is difficult to overcome. Hopefully, he's been able to get healthy since the season ended.

I know in fantasy football he was always Mr reliable due to his accuracy vs the amount of FG’s he attempts per game.

Bailey was clearly in a funk after he returned from injury. Missed field goals will happen but the missed extra points were alarming. He simply doesn’t miss those. Definitely need to bring in a kicker to compete with him during camp because we can’t just assume he will return to form. Once it starts going bad for a kicker that can be it so we have to cover ourselves.

i hope hes fine but i wont be surprised if he is done. hes has had a long run at the top. i agree with an earlier poster, Garrett has kind of relied on his success a lot. it'll be interesting to see what he does if he doesn't have Mr. automatic.

Anyone trying to put a positive spin on Bailey being relied on too much is out of their mind. That guy is the true MVP of our offense. Even if JG has relied on him too much, he’s also won us plenty of games with his consistency and length. If he’s not right, we’re in trouble. In no way is there one iota of positivity if he’s done.

A kickers psyche is pretty fragile and once it starts going wrong for them the wheels can come off. I remember how flawless Mike Vanderjagt was with the Colts but once things started going wrong for him the wheels came completely off. He went from can’t miss to can’t make anything. He was missing left of left and right of right. Many of us nicknamed him Vandershank. That one season he spent with the Cowboys was hard to watch.

Kickers can head south on you at the drop of a hat. I don't care who it is.

I'm concerned about Bailey until I see him consistently splitting uprights again. He was supposed to be fully healthy when he came back last season already.

WHEW!
well,Doc! Seeings how you are no longer a DENTIST but a *hurmpf-hack-cough* SPORTIN' MAN,I'D reckon that's "a coin to be tossed/ a card to be drawn" that only #5 himself can BET ON!;)

( I forget
the name of that effeminate white pro-Dallas dudes name that does that football talk show with that angry black Cowboys hating dude{ broken hearted over a #33 Dorsett jersey back when he still had a world to be crushed},but, I'd watched one of his thanksgiving {or it was around the holidays)'after hours blurb fests' on you tube ,like, when it had only been posted for like an hour or two& that guy was incredulous & totally rudderless in his thoughts concerning #5,,,,he mentioned summoning a priest to preform an exorcism on him,as the 'bad ju-ju' had mentally done took root up in Dan Bailey's Wheelhouse,,,IDK?o_O)

MAN!
I gotta' agree, those muddy slugfests of yesteryear when a score of 9-6 ,12-10,,or 6-5 put that 'WIN' in your teams record book.
