One of the original Cowboys beat writers and one of the greatest sportswriters in history.

Loved his writing, making the reader laugh out loud, as he could do so well, is not an easy thing. Making the reader stop reading because they're laughing so hard they have to pause is a rare art and he was the master.

I can't put it here but his 10 Stages of Drunkenness was one of the funniest concepts ever put to paper.

Loved his work so much, took my wife to his Mexican restaurant in New York called Juanita's and it was excellent.

After reading Gene's Wojciechowski's eulogy, I can only conclude that his idea of what heaven is like is pretty different than mine.
