Dan Marino never won a super bowl

It always amazes me how some here think having a ring by itself qualified a player for the HOF.

AND at the same time if a player did not have a ring somehow that made him less and meant he did not DESERVE to be in the HOF.

Eli Manning is the perfect example; by that criteria Joe Flacco should be a candidate for the HOF.

Truly idiotic.

Or Jim Plunket. He has two super bowl wins. No way should Eli be in the HOF. In fact, if not for the fluke helmet catch, he's not even considered.

Yeah, so what he has a lot of stats. He never led the NFL in passing; never even came close. He was NEVER in any serious conversation as one of the best QBs in the NFL. Nuts, Vinney Testeverde had a lot of stats, too.
Yet you have a bunch of gomers here saying he will be put in the HOF. There are way too many in the HOF now who truly do not deserve it.

And neither did Hall of Famers

Warren Moon
Fran Tarkenton
Dan Fouts
Jim Kelly

All far better than two time SB champ Eli Manning.
Don't forget our own Danny White who lost consecutive 3 NFC championship games (1980–1982). While he is not a hof'er he was pretty good
