I don’t agree with everything he says, but I don’t mind him. He’s certainly not wrong about this.

True, he's not wrong with this statement. It's just more of a Captain Obvious statement from him. Tbf, I'm glad someone in the national media finally realises it.

Someone tell Dan hes about 10 years or so too late to the party. We fans have always known this about Jerry. However, Jerry DOES have the pulse of his bank account, and for him, Me thinks that's all he cares about anymore. His football team or operation is just a hobby for him , a toy that makes all the other ventures attracted to HIM. Like Indy Car for example. Jerry has forgotten and lost his way many years ago. His ego will be his undoing before this is all over. We are seeing it being revealed right now.
the article is good though due to the title and jerry might see it or hear about it.
It doesnt matter who said it or that we knew long ago.

What is needed is for media to continue to criticize jerry and his ways.

Not at all! He may be a little arrogant but his football IQ is actually pretty high! With that said, the Jones were oil businessmen who through shrewd business practices are either damn good at the oil game or just damn lucky with being in the right place at the right time! Either way, it doesn’t matter but what does matter is that Jerry and his son have absolutely no idea how to run a successful NFL team in today’s atmosphere! While the rest of the league was trying to improve their franchises in the off-season, Jerry stood pat and didn’t sign one free agent of significance! NOT ONE while the rest of the league is gobbling up players!
So you are now Jerry Jones and it’s February 2024. You have 2 major decisions to make before the next season excluding the draft. 1. Are we going to sign CD Lamb to a new contract? The answer is an obvious yes! 2. Are we going to sign Dak to a new contract? Not so easy but (personally I would have let him play out his last season and more than likely be done with this era) either way, MAKE A DECISION! So as we know now, they signed both players extremely late in the process handcuffing the team’s ability to sign quality Free Agents earlier because they were out of CAP money for the year and by the time they had both CD & Dak signed which freed up 25 million in CAP space, no one was left! Barkley, Mixon, Jacob’s, Henry, Swift and on and on!
So what do we as fans take from this type of mis-management? Either The Jones are extrememely incompetent and being NFL GM’s or they just give a damn about winning!! With Dak signing for another 4 seasons and the Jones’ still believing they are smarter than everyone else, sad to say to my fellow Cowboy fans, I think it’s goin to be a long five to ten years in BIG D!:mad::mad: UGH!!!
Jerry intentionally threw away this season. Thats why he did nothing.
Saving cap for next year for Micah who he will pay about 40 mil a year.
He kept MM because this was to be a throw away year anyway, and he had to pay him either coaching or home on his couch.

They have some sort of plan for 2025, it is top secret, no one knows who HC will be.
But it seems like they are setting it up so everyone on coaching staff can be let go, and all players except a few are on 1 year deals.

What their big plan is , I dont know, no telling with them. I hope they hire BB, but not counting on it.

But this year is a lame duck year where jerry never intended to try and have a good team this year.
It is kind of a tank, which if your gonna tank I would want a top 5 pick, but it looks like we wind up picking at 16.

the head coach should be the one with "the pulse of his team"...not the owner.
and thats the "pulse" of the problem.
the owner needs to fire the gm...way before anyone else gets the axe.

Isn't this the guy who accidentally ran out the back of his own end zone and didn't even realize it in one of the few games he played in his short NFL career?

He spent 12 years in the NFL. He didn’t play much, but that’s 12 years of sitting in meetings, standing on the sidelines and being coached by NFL coaches. He might not have been a very good NFL player, but does anyone here really believe that they know more about the game than Dan Orlovsky? Really?

I heard Broadus float an interesting theory on the podcast with Belt.

Basically it was Jerry went off on the radio hosts because he wanted to wait on Daks contract let the season run through but he listened to “lieutenants” ( Stephen ) in the inner circle pushing him to get Dak signed .

Now that the Cowboys and Dak are still folding like lawn chairs against tough teams Jerry’s left taking the firing squad and he’s mad about that. .

That might hold water except Jerry doesn’t have to answer anything , he chooses to have radio shows he gets interviewed right after games he wants the spotlight , The Nora Desmond of the NFL …look her up .

Does the crypt keeper even have a pulse? Fueled by jealousy with johnny walker in his veins with an ego the size of the deathstar. Jerry doesn't care, you heard him. He pays people around him to be his yes men, make him feel good, not to point out what any casual fan can see as an issue.
