1. Cleveland Browns
Myles Garrett, DE/OLB, Texas A&M. This pick should be Myles Garrett. Anything is possible, but it would be a surprise if the Browns select a quarterback over the impact pass rusher.
2. San Francisco 49ers
Jamal Adams, SS, LSU. The Leonard Fournette-to-San Francisco rumors are rampant. I'll guess the 49ers go with an LSUplaymaker, but instead of the running back, they go with the well-rounded safety.
3. Chicago Bears
Solomon Thomas, DL, Stanford. The Bears have done a lot of work on the quarterbacks, but that might be more of a trade-back option. If Chicago stays put, Thomas could be the high-floor defensive lineman they covet.
4. Jacksonville Jaguars
Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson. The Jaguars likely won't pick up Blake Bortles' fifth-year option, meaning he enters 2017 in the final year of his rookie deal. Planning for the future, Watson is a quarterback the Jags can build around.
TRADE: 5. Cleveland Browns (from L.A. Rams via Tennessee)
Mitchell Trubisky, QB, North Carolina. In this projected trade with the Titans, the Browns get back into the top five to secure the quarterback they want.
6. New York Jets
Malik Hooker, FS, Ohio State. Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan believes in the best player available theory; in this scenario, it also matches with a need, as Hooker gives New York a ball-hawking deep safety.
7. Los Angeles Chargers
Jonathan Allen, DL, Alabama. A year after drafting Joey Bosa in the first round, the Chargers could again bolster the defensive line with a talent like Allen, who would bring versatility as a three-technique and edge rusher.
8. Carolina Panthers
Christian McCaffrey, RB, Stanford. Veteran Jonathan Stewart averaged only 3.8 yards per rush and reached the 100-yard mark in only one game last season, his ninth in the NFL. McCaffrey can stress the defense in a variety of different ways.
9. Cincinnati Bengals
Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU. With Jeremy Hilllikely gone after 2017, the Bengals will be eyeing the running back talent in this class, and I was told they "won't pass" on Fournette if he falls to this ninth pick.
10. Buffalo Bills
O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama. With Charles Clayin place, tight end isn't the top need on the Buffalo roster, but Howard represents a high-floor offensive weapon who also has the ceiling of an impact player.
28. Dallas Cowboys
Adoree' Jackson, CB, USC. Although still unrefined in areas as a cover man, Jackson is a premier athlete with the versatility to help on special teams and grow into one of the Cowboys' top defensive players.
