Every team needs a Red Murdock no matter how good they are. Mysteries need to be solved. Underrated concept of team building

17 FF's are ridiculous though. That doesn't happen on accident. Even if the guy doesn't end up an NFL quality LB, stick him on ST and let him put the ball on the ground.

He's a classic, thumping two down LB. He can play the run and create turnovers with the best of them, and he can really hit, but can't really cover. He just doesn't have the quick feet or quick change of direction. He's a stiff athlete.

But if you're looking for an "enforcer" type LB that can create a bit of havoc for a few snaps per game, he's your guy. He'd be a great LB in the 1980's.

I live in Toronto so have actually seen a few of Buffalos games, this guy is a thumper and a half. He sticks out like a sore thumb vs garbage competition. Not sure he’ll ever be a starting LB in the league but he can fill the gap with the best of them

Murdock spent his entire career at Buffalo, becoming an All-American linebacker. In today’s era when players routinely switch schools for better exposure, competition or more money, Murdock stayed where he started.
