“He’s, right now, the fifth highest rated receiver coming out,” ESPN draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. said Tuesday on a conference call. “He’s got a chance to be an early-to-mid second. He’s nailed the draft process. He’s done everything very well. He’s got all the intangibles in the world. He’s certainly got an opportunity.”

Show me a draft where the 5th rated wr lasts until round 4. And 5th is debatable because he should be higher. Compare his measurable and you get O'Dell Beckham and he did way better in drills than Antonio brown. But he's not 6'2 so you have to downgrade him, I understand.

Lol at the 4th round. Whatever bruh.

LOL... you want to take him in the top of the 2nd... so yeah, I guess you would scoff at my top of the 4th prediction...
let's look at it this way... the only chance that Dallas may draft him is if he's available at the top of the 4th round.

Do people still listen to Mel Kiper?

Ignore my second post. Mayock has him top 5 wr also but Ole RoboQB has the eye. Yawn

This started with you wanting him at 34th overall... tons of defensive talent this year... plus plenty of offensive lineman will be drafted in first 2-3 rounds...
I'm not discounting Shepard's talent... I already said I like the kid... this isn't fantasy football where it's all skill position players... you don't have to be a dick about it.

My bad.

It would still benefit us to take him at 34 imo

Damn. Well now I feel bad.... lol.
I'm pretty sure I'm not your daddy.

Personally, I would love for him to take over the slot in Dallas... I just don't think they'll pick him that early.

Shepherd is awesome, but size limitations will push him down. Not 4th territory, but certainly late second/early third

He's as tall as Beckham and Brown. I don't want to pass on a future star because he's 5'11. He ran a 4.4 and is touted as the best route runner with good hands. They talked to Marquez North because he ranked 9th in spare rating but he has suspect hands like our current starter. Sterling ranked 10th in spare. The only other top 4 round guys ranked top 10 are Coleman and Doctson. Just sayin......

Yeah, Shepherd is one of my pet cats. Unfortunately, I just don't see our team seeing anything but the height

I'd take Leonte Caroo as well. We suck at drafting receivers because we're obsessed with height.

Who are 8 WRs better?

Treadwell
Coleman
Doctson
Thomas
Shepard
Boyd
Cooper
Miller

Guy has world class speed, but tiny little mitts and can't catch. He's basically a little slower Ted Ginn Jr.

Minimum requirements for potential Cowboys draft picks:

1.) Does he get open?
2.) Can he catch the ball?
